After a brutal assault at a Cincinnati zoo, a man named Malik Abdul-Rauf has been arrested.
During the fight, Abdul-Rauf allegedly slit the victim’s throat, then fled on foot with an accomplice.
Law enforcement have not described the event as terrorism-related, but the trend of throat slashing from another criminal with an Islamic name is disturbing, to say the least.
This is yet another example of why we must be careful who we allow into this country…
CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The second man wanted for an attack at the Cincinnati Zoo has been arrested. Malik Abdul-Rauf is also charged with felonious assault.
According to police, Abdul-Rauf and Mark Lanham got into an argument with the victim at the zoo on July 29.
The victim was sliced in the neck. Police say the men ran off.
Abdul-Rauf appears to be the man in the surveillance photo released by police after the assault.
Lanham, who is from Georgetown, Kentucky, appeared in court Wednesday. A judge ordered him held on $100,000 bond.
Abdul-Rauf , who is from Nicholsville, Kentucky, is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
