Whoops, “Hamilton” Cast is Heckled for Insulting Pence, “You Need Republican Votes in Congress for Upcoming Tax Bill!”
The cast of the Broadway hit “Hamilton” may have picked a bad time to publically insult the Vice President-elect when he and his wife attended Friday night’s show.
The crowd booed Mr. Pence, but the worst part came at the end when actor Brandon Dixon admonished Mr. Pence with a “finger-wagging” lecture.
“Vice President-elect Pence we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us here at Hamilton the American musical. We really do. We sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us.”
This may be a case of “cutting off your nose to spite your face.”
Turns out that Broadway shows desperately need Republicans in Congress to extend a tax break.
