Was Recent “White House Intruder” Inspired by Madonna’s Violent Rhetoric?
Around midnight on Friday, an intruder wearing a backpack scaled the White House fence and was caught near the entrance to President Trump’s private executive quarters.
The backpack reportedly included mace, and the 26-year-old suspect, identified as Johnathan Tran, faces ten years in prison for entering restricted grounds while carrying a dangerous weapon.
Tran, reportedly claims he was “friends” with President Trump and “hears voices.”
People like Mr. Tran can be easily influenced by celebrities and public figures who make grandiose statements that receive a lot of publicity.
For example, during the January Women’s March, 80’s pop star Madonna told a crowd that she had thoughts of “blowing up the White House.”
Watch the video:
Is this type of dangerous rhetoric giving unstable or violent folks ideas, or the “OK” to move ahead with their evil plans?
Should people like Madonna behave more responsibly in public and refrain from possibly inciting a violent act?
Of course, they should, and if they don’t, they should be called out and held responsible for their careless and dangerous behavior.
