Black Lives Matter and New Black Panthers claim to be champions for black Americans, yet in Louisiana, where flood waters are literally sweeping away so may black people’s dreams, neither group is anywhere be found.
The man in the video wants to know where they are and why they’re not helping the black people in need.

No one is asking them to fix the disaster, just to help out, or are you saying lives only matter when police are involved? Also, can you elaborate on the police brutality? And that is a serious question, because this latest one involved a person pointing a firearm at a police officer. Are you saying the police officer should have just let him shoot him? And how do you explain the rioting? How exactly does that solve the police brutality issue if there is one?
I am not saying that police are never in the wrong, but all of the major cases that have been protested have been found to be inaccurately portrayed once the evidence was looked at. And even if the police did maliciously shoot someone, again, how does rioting and looting solve the issue?

To be honest and I’ve researched this the black lives matter movement only seem to cover black problems that the media cover. If anyone disputes this ile be happy to elaborate
I thought about it too&I realized they can’t do anything about the cases they know nothing about or don’t have video footage as proof to back their argument.Otherwise it’s just word of mouth cases that can’t be proved!Most of us have experienced or witnessed something so we know it’s real but bearing proof keeps alot of cases from being heard I’m sure..

The governor of Louisiana has asked Obama not to come for another couple of weeks because of the resources it would take away from helping the people because of presidential security however Obama has sent and made available every possible resource that he has at his disposal. What the man is saying is that there are civilians from all over the region showing up with their own big trucks and their own boats to voluntarily help people out, providing a free taxi service to and from their flooded homes all under coordination of the local authorities without being a part of those trained first responders. There are people of every race from as far away as Dallas, TX who took off from work and hauled their boats down to southern Louisiana to fill the need.

actually-not over zealous policing– trying to stay alive when being stopped is actually pretty important & 2nd — trying to be able to buy their way out of debt for traffic stops is important as well– had a friend that lived in a poorer part of time with an older car– got stopped & ticket written for plate light out–for tail light too dim—– in 1 month –7 tickets –a little over 700 dollars— same 2 patrolmen– wrote them all– I said if it was me– I would take a copy of each one & make an appointment with the chief –he did –& 3 months later he had gone 2 months w/o a ticket–hmmmm wonder what happened — 700 a month for any blue collar is a lot of money ?

You don’t have to be trained to help. When we had a flood in 2011, entire communities came together to help with the cleanup and donations. Most of the help was hands on. It takes a willing person.

PETA is there, rescuing animals and people. Community volunteers are there. Even people with fishing boats are helping. The men that rescued the lady and dog were untrained. My son, along with friends and church family pack up and go to places like LA to help with rescue and clean up. They don’t see color when it’s someone in need. One murder doesn’t justify another… so no one is saying it justifies anything. But when the biggest danger to black lives is other blacks and you go berserk on the 1% problem and ignore the 99%… it makes you seem crazy. It black lives really mattered you would attack the issue that killed the most black people. That is just common sense. I think all police should wear body cameras, and should be reviewed regularly, which would make it pretty clear who is racist and who isn’t. Not something you can hide when you are being recorded all the time. When you have the weapon and the right to take a life at any moment, I think you should be on camera. Period. It would resolve allot of these issues and questions. However, the biggest issue in the dangers of black lives is the cultural issues in the actual communities and you can’t blame that on white people. (well I guess you clearly can, as you try, but it is wrong) When you have a serious problem with unwed mothers, delinquent fathers, disrespect, gangs and other things that have become more culturally acceptable… you have a much bigger issue. If your communities worked as hard on educating and caring about the internal issues, and not blaming all the woes on the 1% external issues and then justifying destroying business and looting and more criminal behavior, maybe there wouldn’t be such a huge issue in the community to begin with. At some point you have to teach your children they are accountable for their actions and their behavior…. that will make the biggest difference in their lives. Quit teaching them that the color is a handicap, as it is only one if they make it one. I live with many well educated people from EVERY ethnicity, no one cares what anyone else race is. We all live in a very nice community, everyone is very kind, very thoughtful… raised with class. That is the common theme. If someone moved in our neighborhood and acted ghetto, the entire neighborhood would want them out, it wouldn’t matter their color, white, tan black… we don’t want that here… we expect more from our children, our community.

If you take a little drive to the flooded areas, you will see plenty of non- BLM people taking time out of their lives, using their own resources to go help people of all colors and races that are affected by the floods along with local emergency responfers. My community was flooded along with several surrounding communities back in March and i can tell you that there were no BLM or Black Panthers anywhere in sight. There were plenty of untrained people doing what ever they could to save people in need. There were plenty of untrained people from my home town, state, surrounding states and even other countries come in to rescue people trapped on their roofs and automobiles, provide financial support, spiritual support, provide water, food, clothing, shelter, medical care and what ever else was needed. After the waters receded there were plenty of untrained people to help with debris removal and removing damaged material from peoples houses so the drying process could began and then there was also people that came in and helped rebuild the communities that was totally destroyed. Again, none of this was provided by BLM or the Black Panthers. It was all done by good, honest, hard working, untrained Americans that saw a need and did what they could to help. Now, does that sound idiotic to you? Do you research. The people in Louisiana are in trouble and the media is not making a big deal out of it because it doesn’t bring the big ratings. You try losing everything you have to a natural disaster and tell me if you still believe this man doesn’t have the right to say what he feels. Especially when it is true.

Civilians are almost always the first course of action in saving people in floods. Fact of the matter is the first responders are spread to thin and need the help. It’s why there are CERT groups which are average people trained to show up and help. Now if black lives matter or black panther groups really want to help and not just cause trouble they would be out helping. There are plenty of average Cajuns out helping.

I’m a untrained civilian unpaid by the government and I spent 4 days in the waters pulling people to safety a large group of people organized and came together to save people of all races. Regular civilians. Pulling boats, ATVs, etc down here to help. Its what we do and we are probably more trained then local PD because we grew up doing it. There are probably just as many civilians if not more helping then there are trained rescuers. Ive seen and experienced it first hand cause im down here right now doing it. Know your facts.

I’m a public transit employee and my friend is a now retired navy f18 pilot, We both used our accumulated vacation time in September of 2005 to drive out to New Orleans with my Zodiac and help whoever, where ever we could. Originally we intended to stay a week, that turned into a month. We had NO Training and you know what? It did not matter. you pick it up very quickly, and you know what? Nobody ever tried to send us away, not Law Enforcement, or the Navy when they finally arrived. It’s people like you that always make excuses why you shouldn’t do anything. We live in San Diego BTW, Long drive for us.

Ummmmm Wrong Marcus, there are many volunteer jobs that BLM, TNBP or any of these other groups could do. There are shelters which need manning, Meals which need serving, shortly cleanup efforts will be massive. Bottom line it’s easier to protest about something needs to be done than to actually put feet to the ground and get it done. I have worked shelters, Driven Red Cross ERVs serving meals to people in disasters. What have you done besides make excuses?
What is really stupid (or an excuse) is to think that you have to be a “trained government employee” to help. You don’t need to be a trained emergency worker to know how to drive a small boat (how much training do you need to paddle a small boat?) into a flood area and save possible drowning victims. I run a fishing resort in Utah and have employees who are not “trained emergency workers” who have saved lives on more than one occasion on our lake by taking the initiative to drive a boat out to rescue people in distress. There is nothing to prevent BLM members from renting or buying some small boats and asking FEMA where they might go to assist (or at least setting up some tent relief centers with food & clothing on the outskirts of the flood area). Of course, that is not as glamorous or exciting as screaming at the police or setting up protest lines on highways that block innocent people from being able to arrive at work on time.
I hear ya man and I can only imagine how discouraging it must feel that such a “LOUD” organization would turn their backs on this tragedy. You’re so blessed to have had non-BLM and non-BP helping. It’s like someone else already said, you don’t have to be trained to help, you have to love your neighbor. It’s what God commands us to do and those who love Him will do just that. In response to the point your attempted to make performing a job “trained for”, I was one of those trained responders sent to N.O. for Katrina. It was those “untrained civilian” volunteers who did most of the work and who wothout them we would not have been able to accomplish much.

With devastation this widespread there are not enough police and emergency workers to assist everyone in need. Here in Louisiana we have seen the entire state pull together with people from unaffected areas going to the affected areas with truck and trailer loads of donated supplies for those who have lost everything. And with boats to go through neighborhoods rescuing those who need assistance that the “trained” emergency workers have not been able to get to yet. We have embraced the idea that “ALL lives matter” and have had people of all races and religions helping others without regard to race or religion. Those who cannot physically help have reached deep to give money and supplies to those in need, again regardless of race. And now that cleanup has begun people are still giving their time and money to help the affected rebuild. Still, since this does not play into the divisive agenda of so many of the hate groups, we notice that there is not a lot of media coverage of the way this state has pulled together and there is certainly an obvious lack of support from the hate groups.

What I have seen in Louisiana is neighbor helping neighbor, boats loaded with women and children being pulled, and pushed to safety by men, black and white. It is the American people in those areas that are the true heroes. We are all members of the human race. It is time that we all become Americans again. Exactly! Where were alllivesmatter since they care about all lives equally. Where was the alllivesmatter boat to help these black people in need? FEMA and other agencies who are paid by those victims to be there and provide emergency assistance were there doing just that. BLM along with other grassroots organizers collected items for donations and paid monetary donations to help everyone impacted by flooding.
