Jackie Evancho said she is focusing on the love from her family and fans amid criticism over her decision to perform the national anthem at Donald Trump‘s inauguration Friday.
“I have a lot of positivity from my family and that’s really what matters to me,” Evancho, 16, said today on “Good Morning America.” “All of my true fans have been there for me and supportive and that’s really all I need, so I’m sticking to it.”
Evancho also performed for Trump at an event earlier in her career.
“When I met him he was extremely polite, very nice and thankful for me to be there and perform for him,” she said. “I mean, it was a great experience.”

It is a dirty shame that the liberals have to hassle everyone who gets involved in preforming in the Inauguration. What is it with liberals. We did not give them this kind of trouble when Obama was elected. What gives them the right to bash all who aren’t democrat? What a bunch a damn crybabies the left is.
You were right to stick with your commitment AND it IS/WAS an honor to perform for the President, irrespective of who is that POTUS. The Left Wing that have been militantly attacking are simply hypocrites. They advocate and do PSAs against bullying but are perfectly comfortable with doing the same to those who don’t affirm their values (even if you DO share those values) based purely on what choices you make as to where you perform. BRAVO! You have demonstrated greater maturity and Christian charity than narrow minded bigots (yet, the word applies to them as well as those to whom they apply it).
