Believe it or not..there is actually an amendment other that the 2nd…goes a little something like this: The First Amendment states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
I don’t see anywhere in that amendment where it gives people the right to destroy property, assault people, block highways and byways.. these are not “peaceable assemblies”. Dr. M. L. King knew how to peaceably assemble, however, it was the southern Democrats that attacked him and his peaceable protests. Some things never change.
