KISS had always been a patriotic band. They regularly say the Pledge of Allegiance at their concerts. Recently at a concert in Worchester, MA, KISS sent a message to whiny “social justice warriors” in the NFL, when Paul Stanely shouted, “Patriotism is always cool.  Loving your country is cool.
