We love our military – they’re amazing and sacrifice so much to keep us safe.
It’s important to keep these warriors in our thoughts and prayers.
Today, on #Thanksgiving, it’s even more important – holidays are difficult for our military – being away from home and their friends and family.
However, they make the most of it, and you can bet that they NEVER complain!

For many many years if ever) military people did not the luxury of going home for Thanksgiving.
Back in my day,I spent two Thanksgivings and one Christmas flying the friendly skies of Vietnam.Ate C-rats for all of the holidays,including two birthdays.I wouldn’t change a minute of it for all the gold in the world.No matter where we went,we all had small homemade stoves that we could warm up our rats.Trade stuff we didn’t like for some stuff we did.We would all share our ‘from back home’ care package stuff with everyone.
We all shared,and that felt good.And we all shared stories of each holiday and what our family traditions were.It was,and remains to be an exceptional experience in my life.So to all who have served,and are serving now like one of my grandsons,HAPPY THANKSGIVING to my Brothers and Sisters in uniform.God bless you all and keep you safe.
