Thousands of Haitians are flooding into Mexican border towns on their way to seeking U.S. asylum. The Haitians are desperate to enter the United States from the dangerous border neighborhoods of Mexico. Tijuana and Mexicali house approximately 5,000 Haitians, and about 300 more are arriving daily. The Haitians are not trying to slip through illegally.
