VIDEO : Lou Dobbs – Trump Still Must Contend with GOP Traitors Graham and Mccain

Lou Dobbs had a few thoughts on “President-elect Trump making it official and announcing ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson as his choice for Secretary of State today. But the President-elect yet again finding himself in a position where member of his own party are already working against him, including the latest iteration of the three amigos.”

He notes, “Senators McCain and Graham calling over the weekend for an investigation into CIA claims that Russia interfered in our election to benefit Trump. And now the amigos are at it again, this time of Trump’s Secretary of State pick. McCain saying he’s concerned about Tillerson’s relationship with Vladimir Putin. Graham calling the ties “unnerving.”

But the three amigos, which found themselves reduced to a party of two after Senator Kelly Ayotte lost her reelection forced to find support from new parts. One-time Trump primary rival Senator Marco Rubio saying he has “serious concerns,” now about Tillerson’s nomination. And Senator James Lankford also joining in. A Spokesman  for the Senator from Oklahoma says ‘He is not ready to vote for Rex Tillerson.”

Dobbs says, “Now I understand all of that. I much would have preferred that John Bolton be the Secretary of State. You may have preferences as well, we all may have. But the President-elect is the President-elect and Republicans have the majority in the Senate. They hold 52 seats to the Democrats 48 and I don’t understand what these Senators think they’re doing.”

“There’s little margin for error,” says Dobbs, “when it comes to confirmations for Trump’s cabinet choices. The Senate has turned down a presidential nominee, by the way, in all of American history only nine times. So what are these Senators playing at?

Dobbs says, “It’s time that detractors, especially leaders in the Republican Party, realize that Donald Trump is President-elect. It is, as I would say to our friends in the House, his agenda, not yours. And to deny a cabinet nomination in the Senate would be an insult that voters would never forget nor do I suspect they would ever forgive.
