VIDEO : Lou Dobbs “President Trump is the Change Agent He Claimed to Be”
Lou Dobbs offers a few thoughts on “a country that is truly undergoing what someone once called a fundamental transformation. And this transformation started the day President Trump was elected. President Trump is the change agent that he assured us all that he would be in the campaign. And he brings to the presidency an indefatigable commitment to make America great again. Not even the posh lords and masters of the left-wing media and their minions can suppress his boundless energy.”
Dobbs notes, “And we have even more good news on the economy today. A strong jobs report for last month and President Trump is building on that. President Trump today signed an executive order to being rolling back Dodd-Frank, a move that the White House National Economic Council Director hailed as a boost to business.” He stated that access to capital for small and medium sizes businesses needs to be available to get this country moving again.
“And he couldn’t be more correct,” says Dobbs. “The President taking his pro-jobs, pro-growth message to business leaders, big business leaders. They met today at the White House with top executives from some of the world’s biggest companies. And during his two, incredibly fast, action-packed weeks in office… President Trump has already met with more than fifty business leaders. Yet Silicon Valley still foolishly working against the man who is working so hard to make a better life for all Americans.”
Dobbs points out that “Uber’s CEO announced he is quitting the President’s strategic forum ahead of the meeting today. Poor thing apparently overburdened by a President who is the most successful disrupter in more than three decades. I don’t know about you but I think I’m over Uber. Amazon, Microsoft, Expedia all supporting a lawsuit brought by Washington state’s Attorney General over Mr. Trump’s extreme vetting order.”
“Apple weighing,” he says, “taking legal action of its own. And Google cofounder Sergey Brin even joking about impeaching the President during a company rally opposing his executive order. Think about where we are. Companies having meetings about how to oppose Presidential orders. Well, Brin wasn’t funny but at least he wasn’t being serious in calling for impeachment. Of course the technology industry donated 60 times as much money to Hillary Clinton than President Trump. And now they’re continuing to fight him every petty step of their way.”
“And they will do so,” Dobbs acknowledges, “until they’re overwhelmed by the President’s success and by the history that he is already making. But it is a history that he is making for all Americans, not just for the elites, which must bother and even motivate the most elite of the elites, those in Silicon Valley. And that’s just a bonus under this president. What fun.”

I Love Lou Dobbs !!! He reminds me of a great song by The Judds’…Grandpa…Tell me about the good ol’ days…
I miss the ones I knew of His generation . They made America great then and Trump will Make America Great Again!
This same crap plays over and over. But the question remains: WHEN WAS AMERICA EVER “GREAT?” Would that have been during the glorious McCarthy Era, or maybe when we were fully committed to slaughtering peasants in Viet Nam? How about when we still had slaves? (That was pretty “great,” wasn’t it?) How about when we refused to take Jewish refugees prior to WWII? (That was pretty “great,” wasn’t it?) Maybe it was when we locked up all the Japanese people during WWII? (That was pretty “great,” wasn’t it?) How about when we had segregated schools all over the country? (That was pretty “great,” wasn’t it?) Maybe you’re remembering the time, not so long ago, when lynchings were common, last one in California in the 1920s or so. (That was pretty “great,” wasn’t it?) This could go on for a very long time. Why don’t you just make it easy and say when America was “great?”
America has been great since 1776. As a country charting its way through history it has served as a model for many democratic republics. It has had issues which it has dealt with for the common good. In the 1700s the country was defining itself first with a great charter in the form of a Declaration of Independence which split colonial America from England. America with aid from the French won. After that the country drew up a fantastic contrract between its people and its government. That contract enumerated the structure and limits of the government and the rights of the people in relation to the government. It was called the Constitution of the United States of America. Never before had such an audacious document been penned. The Constitution was written by great men who debated every detail at length and documented their very reasoning in various letters that are now collectively known as the Federalist papers. The country grew and prospered with the individual states drawing up their own constitutions which needed to fit within the framework of the US Constitution. There were rifts between the agricultural south and the industrial north on the issue of states rights/ the sovereignty of the individual states and the issue of slavery served to increase the polarization. The result was a civil war that ripped the country apart and afterward the relationships changed between the states and the Federal government. The nation was still great and it had survived beith torn apart from within and emerged stronger. The nation grew, evolved and for the most part worked on solving its own problems as an isolationist nation until WW1. When we entered WW1 we were not a warrior nation and when we were dragged into the war our soldiers were given gas mask by the Brits and French. The rifles that our soldiers had were not as advanced as those used by the Spanish soldiers and in the battle of D’yrrpres the American soldiers died side by side with Ethiopian troops in Belgium. America was a country of great capacity and by the end of WW1 its troops were equipped appropriately and its navy became a maritime power. Once the war was over America went back to minding its own business being an isolationist country that was becoming more modern. America was dragged into WW2, again unprepared for all out war. Since Japan had made an unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor the sentiments of the Japanese population was unknown but the anti Japanese sentiments were likely to cause problems the Japanese were interred in government camps for both their protection as well as for national security….a reasonable response considering the times. As in WW1 the US initially was unprepared and took huge loses but the country was fully polarized against the axis threats and its manufacturing and scientific capacities were fully developed toward victory not metered success but victory. The Germans and the Japanese were both working on developing the atomic bomb but the US won the race with 2 completely different but working designs. The US achieved victory and probably saved millions of lives by making the victory decisive. Yes America is truly great when it unites for a cause. Since WW2 the United States has changed its role from an isloationist country to one that is a continual presence around the world that endeavors to protect the oppressed, and shares much of its bounty with the rest of the world. This great nation has the highest rate of charity per capita. This country is truly great when you put it into context and compared to the other nations of the world or said differently if this country isn’t great then none are.
