VIDEO : Lou Dobbs “Gorsuch Should Withdraw if He Has Any Honor” After Disparaging Trump
Lou Dobbs offers a few quick thoughts on Judge Neil Gorsuch, the man that President Trump nominated to fill the Supreme Court vacancy left due to the passing of Justice Scalia. Dobbs notes that Gorsuch “was back on the hill today, just one day after the Supreme Court nominee made disparaging comments about the President who nominated him.”
He notes that Kelly Ayotte, a Senator who lost her seat because she was in large measure a Never Trumper, “defended the comments of the judge saying this, ‘While he made clear that he was not referring to any specific case, he said that he finds any criticism of a judge’s integrity and independence disheartening and demoralizing.”
Dobbs responded to those comments directly, saying, “Well Judge, I think you’re full of it. I believe Judge Gorsuch is speaking as if the judiciary were sacrosanct and pure, even though it’s awash with political bias, much like the rest of government, and it is certainly not holier than the rest of us.”
“Liberal control of appellate courts,” says Dobbs, “is not to be ignored, it surged under ‘president’ Obama. Liberal majorities control about seventy percent of our appellate courts, they handle an overwhelming number of the cases in our judiciary system. Three quarters of donations from attorneys and their firms went to the Democrat Party in the 2016 election cycle. That was an increase from 2012.”
Dobbs says, “Never mind that 53 Senators have law degrees, we’re not going to pay attention to that. And please, do not pay attention to the fact that 214 out of 435 members of the House of Representatives have law degrees as well. There is a problem here, don’t you think? And it’s one that we should be thinking about and talking about and doing something about.”
As for the President’s criticism of the Judiciary,” Dobbs say, “don’t forget ‘president’ Obama very publicly rebuked the Supreme Court during his 2010 State of the Union Address. Where was Judge Gorsuch’s disheartened moment then?” It’s his view that the judiciary should not be free from scrutiny and that Judge Gorsuch would be wise to apologize, at the very least, to the man nominated him to the high post he will likely win in confirmation.”
“The man he owes a great deal of gratitude,” says Dobbs, “and not any basis for insult. Gorsuch, by the way, also broke the ethics rules by speaking about political matters at all. And he spoke so loosely in front of his mortal ideological enemy, and that is one Senator Michael Blumenthal.”
Dobbs says, “I believe Gorsuch as really demonstrated a lack of honor and if he has honor, he should withdraw his name out of just the pure disrespect he’s shown our President, his lack of grace. Not very smart for a man with degrees from both Harvard and Oxford.”

Someone ask Gorsuch if he is disheartened by the absurd ruling by the 9th Circuit Panel. Someone ask him if he is disheartened that 90% of the rulings of the 9th Circuit are overturned by the Supreme Court. Someone ask him if he is disheartened that we have a whole slew of Federal Judges who ignore the clear language of statutes and the constitution and legislate from the bench.

Spot on analysis. I especially liked his characterization of Gorsuch acting as if the judiciary is sacrosanct and pure. At the very least Gorsuch should have kept his trap shut. There is no more room for political activism in the courts. Just do your freaking job.

I really like Lou Dobbs and kinda agree but do such has shown he is an independent thiker..disagreeing with someone doesn’t mean you aren’t loyal..The problem we have is there are too many courts and they issue different rulings tying matters up…too many chiefs and not enough indians
No option than to concurr with Lou Dobbs analysis. Iam freighten by the comments of Gorsuch on the President. Is unfortunate. The President would have to avoid political correctness & withdrawn the nomination of Neil Gorsuch in the interest of the conservative Republican party. Is quite a pity.
Please don’t use the terms “Conservative” and “Republican” as if they naturally go together… they do not, and that is especially in today’s world! When many “Republicans” are RINO’s, and really “Neo-Conservatives”, it is truly time to re-asses!

If you don’t believe judges should follow the law and be held accountable, you have no place in the people’s judiciary. Gorsuch seemed disrespectful of our President Trump at Trump’s announcement. Subtle body language and facial expressions. This betrayal isn’t surprising but it’s unacceptable. The people have awoken to the necessity of a judiciary held accountable and operating with integrity. NO MORE CORRUPT JUDGES AT FEDERAL, STATE, OR COUNTY LEVELS.
I totally agree with your precise observation. At the moment President Trump proudly introduces the so-called judge, I know immediately that the so-called nominee is too good to be true!. I thank you for saying what I was thinking although you put it a little nicer than I would have. I have found in my experience of higher education and life that just because a person has attended Harvard or Oxford does not in no way give him common sense. I do not care how many degrees you have with your name on them. When I was going to college I have see professors that did not know how to put a bulb in a projector. Just because there is a title in front of their name does not qualify them as intelligent. I agree that Gorsuch should withdraw because he to me has already showed what kind of person he is. He will be trouble for supreme court I would not confirm him to the court and I am a Republican Conservative.

We know that President Trump truly loves America and try his best to govern, but I am afraid that President Trump has made some very unwise choices and nominees such as Nikki Haley, Elaine Chao, Gorsuch and will be more. President Trump is too naive to deal with people like Obama, Clinton and RINOS. President Trump keeps saying that Obama like him…Oh! NO, Obama has never ever liked or respected President Trump, how come President Trump does not see the obvious simple fact!.

I Think this is a diversion to confuse the Dems….If they think he might be against Trump, they are more likely to vote yes. Trump is no fool and neither is Gorsuch.
It might well be – or some other reason that we haven’t thought of….yet. How refreshing to see some one like Trump who is honest and cares about the American people employ Machiavellian tactics to deal with the enemy…..most often used by the evil people.
Regardless, I think Gorsuch should go. Still enough time – a quick swift move, which we have been accustomed to in the Trump era.
Gorsuch Says ‘Any Attack on Brothers and Sisters of the Robe Is an Attack on All Judges’. An intelligent high-educated person could not even think about that, much less openly said it to a Republican Senator Ben Sasse, only an ungraceful FOOL could… I rest my case.
EP: “an ungraceful fool”, yes, that is what he has shown himself to be. Often the highly educated from the best schools with a pristine CV’s can be extreme fools – out of touch with real life. His idea of what the courts are in this country is the “idealized” version – not what they really are – highly politicized and therefore very corrupt.

If you watched the President Trump’s Golden- Boy Announcement, with keen observation, you would see the true colors of Gorsuch right there at that very moment – disrespectful, ungrateful – to the President who just gave him the most lifetime privilege. Gorsuch reveals his true-self without any hesitation because he rest assured that he does not need President Trump any more!. Sadly, some of us realise that after the such Grand Glorious Announcement, President Trump will not rescind his decision.
Eva: appreciate your keen observations. I didn’t pick up on it back then but in retrospect he seems like a spoiled brat. A candidate with such poor judgement and obviously out of touch with reality (that the courts are politically neutral – what a laugh!) does NOT deserve to be installed on such an august perch. My hope is that Trump rescinds this. Better to cut his losses quickly.
There are many “behind the scenes shenanigans” going on now where we don’t have all of the facts. Perhaps in the fullness of time…….

Their wish is to make our country chaotic and ungovernable. Sabotage is the favorite tactic used by Marxists and outlined in Saul Alinsky’s book “Rules for Radicals”. Alinsky disciples are Hillary, Obama – and Soros !

As a cautious scientist, I prefer not to participate in any online discussion forum. This is my first and may be the last time. The particular SCOTUS nominee deeply bother me more than previous nominees because Gorsuch hidden agenda will be affected to Supreme Court’s policy implications for a very long time, such as Anthony Kennedy’s and John Roberts’. There are so many warning signs about Gorsuch, I wonder why Mr. President and GOP Congress ignore all of them.
The white House Transit Team let Mr.Trump’s supporters down when they let ‘Never Trump’ people and Obama’s staffs being involved in the New Administration. For examples – Nikki Haley, new UN Ambassador and recently, former Sen. Kelly Ayotte, the fierce NEVER TRUMP GROUP’s Members- has been confirmed by White House to have leading role in shepherding nominee Gorsuch!. President Trump has been attacked on many fronts, how could He be able to govern with any more obstruction from his own people inside the White House?!
