VIDEO : LA Times Pollster Defends His Poll Showing Trump Victory, “We Were the Most Accurate Poll in 2012”
Donald Trump continues to lead in the LA TImes-USC Dornsife poll.
Wednesday the LA Times pollster defended the poll stating that they were the most accurate poll in 2012 when Obama won.
“It’s a balanced mix weighted to be representative of the population as a whole,” pollster David Lauter stated.
Megyn Kelly asked how confident he was, given that his poll is an outlier.
“Well, of course, we don’t have a crystal ball so you never really know. But this group at USC that is doing a poll with us they did the same technique four years ago and they produced a very accurate poll. They were one of the only polls that got President Obama’s reelection margin right. So we think they’re doing a good job,” Lauter said.

Gallup isn’t conducting presidential polling this election cycle. Polls are just not accurate anymore. Two major problems with polling is the cellphone, and people who don’t respond to pollsters. These problems haven’t been overcome.
