Jerry Falwell Jr., President of Liberty University has been on Trump’s side since the beginning. Overjoyed with Trump’s victory, Falwell joined Chris Wallace to discuss how he believes Trump is already changing American culture for the better.
“All of those things, they just resounded with evangelicals and with Christians. And my wife’s noticed as she’s done her Christmas shopping this year that more of the retailers are saying, ‘Merry Christmas’ … There’s a new hope and optimism ― there’s a good spirit in America, and I think that’s coming from his lead.”
Trump dominated with White Evangelical voters, even more so than prior Republican candidates.

I agree. But that’s sad. Trump is NOT known for his religiosity. As a Catholic, it bothers me that our bishops are such poor leaders and/or representatives of the Christian message.
HE’S NOT “KNOWN FOR HIS RELIGIOSITY”?? HE’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE, IF HE’S A TRUE BELIEVER – BECAUSE THAT WOULD HAVE SHOWN THAT HE WENT TO CHURCH EVERY SUNDAY SINCE A CHILD, ONLY SO THAT PEOPLE COULD SEE HIM THERE AND PAT HIM ON THE BACK FOR IT……HIS FAITH AND HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST ARE PERSONAL FOR HIM, JUST LIKE THEY ARE FOR ME OR OTHER CHRISTIANS; I DON’T LOOK TO BE “KNOWN” FOR IT, BECAUSE I WOULD BE A PHONEY, A FAKE.
HIS CHILDREN TAKE THEIR CHILDREN TO CHURCH AND ALL ARE INVOLVED IN THEIR FAITH WITHIN THE COMMUNITY IN THEIR OWN WAY. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING TO BE BROADCASTED OR TO BE LOOKING FOR A PAT ON THE BACK FOR DOING IT.
