At the Oscars during her acceptance speech Viola Davis got on her soapbox and thanked god that she became an actress because it’s the only profession “that celebrates what it means to live a life.”

I’m scratching my head on that statement. Completely without any sense.
Is that why most in the entertainment industry die relatively young and of mysterious causes (HIV etc)…sometimes self inflicted. The life that she is celebrating is full of self glorification and does no good for anyone but themselves.
