What some people don’t understand is that we have the electoral college to protect every one’s vote, not just the popular (and often the coastal cities) vote, where one party or another concentrates their campaigns so they can get those big number electoral votes and thus rob the smaller town and populations their input in the election. (for those who don’t understand the electoral college voting, just look it up on line. It’s interesting) Wish I could explain this better.
Do you know Maartin Gunn that one or more people in CA were running a campaign to trade votes across interstate lines for people in the swing states to vote for Hillary? And that’s unethical? And most of the popular votes came from California? So I don’t care if Hillary did win the popular vote. I don’t know that she deserved it with these kind of shenanigans that went on. And there are a lot of Democratic sour grapes.
How do you know this campaign was being run? More Facebook or othernet misstruths? Where is the proof?
We also know that millions of illegal aliens voted for Hillary (contrary to what Obama was encouraging, this is illegal). We also suspect that there were “dead” people voting as tat is one of the dem’s favorite tricks and also it has been discovered that many many ballot boxes were stuffed with illegal ballots. Jill Stein’s recount only revealed that Trump had been shorted thousands of votes. So who won the popular vote?? This is one of the reasons we have the electoral college… some people cheat.

Without it, there would have been 4 candidates 3 of which would have split much of the Democrats vote. Trumps voters would not have voted for any other candidate but I can promise you if a black candidate was a 3rd party and could win by majority vote, 99% of the blacks in America would vote for the. Same for the Hispanic voter. No race votes along racial lines like the black American and while we’re on the topic, they are the reason Hillary lost. Something has to be done because baby boomers are approaching retirement and there will be more going out than is coming in. I guess you had no problem when Obama’s legacy ACA reduced Medicare Benefits for people like my 89 year old mother in order to help fund his Plan. We who support him are tired of being ignored. Nancy, can you name your source for the Social Security info? As someone who is 63 yrs. old and who opted not to early collect yet, I would love to know that I’m safe. And, no, I’m not selfish; I worry about everyone who will be negatively affected by Congress’ moves on Social Security and Medicare.
Can someone explain why a person who NEVER paid into social security receive it?? Example: a spouse (let’s say a husband) retires after working 35 years and receives $3,000 a month. His wife, a stay at home wife, who NEVER paid into the soc sec program “automatically ” receives 50% of what husband receives, so she gets $1500. Therefore TOGETHER, they get $4,500 a month. THAT DOES NOT SEEM FAIR. Why don’t they cut out free soc sec for people who have NWVER paid into it, cut it to 25% or less. NO….they want to make someone work LONGER, like into their 70s and perhaps further. ????

What makes me laugh is all of these people on here who calling our government corrupt because Trump was elected, when Hillary Clinton would have used her Presidency to push her personal agenda (ie; make her and her husband’s “foundation” richer, even if it meant cutting deals that screw our country over in the process), just as she did when Obama chose her as his Secretary of State for his first term.
