Vermont Mayor Loses Election After Flooding His Town With Refugees
The five-term, pro-refugee Mayor Chris Louras of Rutland, Vermont was defeated by a margin of 52 percent to 34 percent.

It was not even close on Tuesday, as Louras (pictured) was crushed in a humiliating defeat that was as much a rejection of his personal character as it was of his pro-refugee policies.
Louras made headlines last year when it was reported that, beginning in 2015, he secretively attempted to resettle 100 Syrian refugees in the small Vermont city he has served as mayor since 2007.
“Mayor Christopher Louras has unveiled a plan, developed in near-secrecy, to resettle 100 Syrian refugees who fled the onslaught of the Islamic State and are exiled in sprawling Jordanian camps,” the Boston Globe reported in May.
“If approved by the State Department and others, the resettlement would begin in October and gradually send Rutland more Syrian refugees than are currently living anywhere else in New England. . . The influx would be a jolt of instant cultural diversity for Rutland, where there are no mosques and no other Syrian immigrants,” the Globe noted.
Mayor Chris Louras of Rutland must be a loony leftist. Good thing the people of his state voted him out. The leftist seated in high position are abusing their position are undermining the new president and his administration. Mayor Chris Louras, is so corrupt doing his job secretively . While this president trying to go through proper channels and make America safe by vetting these refugees and illegals corrupt Mayors and Governor, Sheriff and others are undermining, making this country and their state unsafe for the well being of American citizens and are resisting, by challenging the current president. They should be holding any position that serves them and not the taxpaying American citizen. They are choosing to put Americans and treat them as second class citizens while taking their taxes. This been going on for a very long time. Wake up people.. Stop voting these corrupt leeches that no longer serve you but serve themselves. Enough is Enough California is corrupt and so is the Governor, while they talk trash about president Trump, they have no shame to ask for government hand-out. While they misuse the funds. They are literally forcing their taxpaying citizen to except sanctuary cities and pay the taxes. While they haven’t done anything for their American citizens. They too have been made second class citizens. America has lots of important issues that literally need fixing and president Trump, and his administration seriously need to drain the swamp and find unnecessary programs that misuses taxpayers dollars and doesn’t serve it’s citizens. If America has problems that need fixing, why add more on top? And if Americans can’t be helped first why add outsiders?
