UPDATE : Editor at VOX Gets SUSPENDED After Encouraging Anti-Trump Riots
Earlier today, we published a piece about Emmett Rensin, editor at ultra-liberal Vox.com who encouraged inciting more violence and Trump Riots.

Thanks to the efforts of our publication as well as others that exposed this blatant call for unnecessary violence, it has now been reported that Emmett has rightfully been suspended by his employer.
The Washington Examiner reports:
A Vox.com editor who encouraged anti-Donald Trump protesters to riot has been suspended.
“We at Vox do not take institutional positions on most questions, and we encourage our writers to debate and disagree,” the site’s founder, Ezra Klein, said Friday.
Protesters in San Jose, Calif., were caught on film Thursday assaulting and berating Trump supporters. One woman was surrounded and pelted with trash, and a man was sucker-punched. As news of the violence trickled back to the East Coast, Vox’s Emmett Rensin applauded the anti-Trump action.
“Advice: If Trump comes to your town, start a riot,” he said on social media late Thursday.
By Friday afternoon, however, he was suspended for his tweets.
“[D]irect encouragement of riots crosses a line between expressing a contrary opinion and directly encouraging dangerous, illegal activity. We welcome a variety of viewpoints, but we do not condone writing that could put others in danger,” the statement added. “In this case, Emmett’s tweets violated Vox’s standards and Emmett has been suspended as a consequence.”
This is an encouraging sign that independent media combined with social media can make a difference. Thank you to all of you who share our stories.

Suspended?
He needs to be fired!
Yes. that is too vague. “suspended with pay”? Nothing says punishment like a paid vacation, eh? Hopefully there are real consequences here, and not just a make believe slap on the wrist
Could someone with legal knowledge confirm this for me?: If a victim of assault, vandalism, or theft at these rallies went to the police to file charges and have the perpetrator(s) arrested, can the police refuse him/her?
If a police officer saw assault, vandalism, and/or theft, isn’t it his/her duty to arrest the perpetrator on the spot? If the police officer did so, even against the mandate for political purposes of the police chief and/or mayor, would he/she be subject to reprimand or dismissal?
Does the police officer take an oath to protect innocent victims and to apprehend criminals? Does this oath supercede political motivations of his/her supervisors?
Emmett Rensin needs to be charged with inciting a riot under California Penal Code Sec 404.6
How about some compensation for the people who got attacked! !!!
