U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will be giving illegal immigrants that are transgender their own facility in Texas this November. “The facility is expected to house about 700 detainees, including a separate 36-bed unit for transgender individuals,” explained an ICE spokesmen to Fusion. The idea behind this facility is that transgender women are more likely to be victims of sexual assaults than straight illegals.
