U.S. Navy Defies Obama’s “Don’t Tread on Me” Rule
Thanks to Obama, the “Don’t Tread on Me” Gadsden flag is considered “racist” is can actually be considered punishable harassment.
Ugh, Obama’s America.
The U.S. Navy, however, snubbed their noses at Obama’s “triggered” fear of yet another flag.
American, Confederate etc…..
The Navy says that they will allow sailors to wear Gadsden flag patches on their uniforms.
From Federalist Papers:
As you’ll recall, Barack Obama’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission made waves when it suggested that the Gadsden Flag – the yellow banner with the coiled snake about to strike and the words” Don’t Tread On Me” (DTOM) below – might be racist.
As of October 1, any sailor who is wearing the “NWU Type III” uniform can wear the Gadsden Flag patch. Seals and other special units may also wear the patch, WeAreTheMighty.com is reporting.
“During garrison and non-tactical exercises or operations, the non-tactical DTOM and Reverse Flag patches may be optionally worn at the discretion of the unit commanding officer and at the expense of the Sailor,” the Navy announced in Navy Administrations Message 174/16. “During tactical deployment exercises and operations, a tactical DTOM and Reverse Flag patch may be worn at the discretion of the unit commander and approval from the Task Force or Joint Task Force Commander.”

NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN SUCH STUPID PEOPLE.
This isn’t even an American flag, it was the British colonists flag, don’t tread on me is a rally cry for Taxation without representation.
they’re 125 years off.
DUH!
Really, thomas pesek?
In the fall of 1775, the British were occupying Boston and the young Continental Army was holed up in Cambridge, woefully short on arms and ammunition. At the Battle of Bunker Hill, Washington’s troops had been so low on gunpowder that they were ordered “not to fire until you see the whites of their eyes.”
In October, a merchant ship called The Black Prince returned to Philadelphia from a voyage to England. On board were private letters to the Second Continental Congress that informed them that the British government was sending two ships to America loaded with arms and gunpowder for the British troops.
Congress decided that General Washington needed those arms more than the British. A plan was hatched to capture the cargo ships. They authorized the creation of a Continental Navy, starting with four ships. The frigate that carried the information from England, the Black Prince, was one of the four. It was purchased, converted to a man-of-war, and renamed the Alfred.
To accompany the Navy on their first mission, Congress also authorized the mustering of five companies of Marines. The Alfred and its sailors and marines went on to achieve some of the most notable victories of the American Revolution. But that’s not the story we’re interested in here.
What’s particularly interesting for us is that some of the Marines that enlisted that month in Philadelphia were carrying drums painted yellow, emblazoned with a fierce rattlesnake, coiled and ready to strike, with thirteen rattles, and sporting the motto “Don’t Tread on Me.”
Some would say taxation without representation is still going on to his day. In New York state several sources report that all taxes from all taxing agencies amount’s to approximately 60 cents per dollar earned. The village where I live, Malone could be hire, as only 46% pay taxes here. Everyone complains about gas prices but look at the amount of taxes included in that price. The federal government wants to increase that amount again to boost their income and encourage use of green energy. First affordable green energy and vehicles should be made available which is also dependable and comparable in it’s sustainability. The government as it exists is not concerned with any of this as long as the status quo exists. They stay in power via big money special interests that fund their lively hood despite claims to the contrary. The resurgence in the interest in this flag is probably in response to this. Our elected officials are supposed to be OUR employees. I guess they see it the opposite way and that needs to change. Solution’s to these issues do exist but we the people have to push for them and until we do nothing will change.
Our military CANNOT submit to our muslum president. He meant it when he said he would fundamentally transform America. He’s done enough damage! It’s past time to push back!
Really? This is a real concern? This country is completely pissed away. Nothing left worth saving. Let us not face real issues ladies and gentlemen, let us bicker over imagined slights.
Such lies. The EEOC received a complaint from a private worker about someone where a gadsden ball cap. The complainant said it was racist, NOT the EEOC. The EEOC ruled the flag was fine, and the complainant and idiot. And you gullible people reading this and commenting all pissed off need to learn how to google.
