President Trump is a big fight fan and wishes he could attend the upcoming Mayweather vs.McGregor superfight.
Sadly however, he feels he would be too big of a distraction and will most likely pass.
It’s just another reminder of the tremendous sacrifice Mr. Trump has made to Make America Great Again.
Surely, he will find time to catch the fight on a big screen with great company!
LOS ANGELES — President Trump is “100 percent’’ interested in attending the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight Aug. 26, but it’s unlikely he’ll be there, said Dana White, the UFC president who led negotiations between the two fighters’ camps.
White said he got a call from the White House Monday.
“They called me yesterday and I don’t think they’re going to come,’’ White said. “(Trump) feels like he’ll ruin events, he’ll ruin the event if he shows up.
“Secret Service is going to have to go through the place, shut down streets and create crazy traffic.’’
White said he’s expecting an avalanche of ticket requests, but he’s willing to reserve his best for Tom Brady, the star quarterback for the New England Patriots.
“He can have 10 tickets if he wants,’’ White said with a grin.
