Trump Supporter Scott Baio has a Great Line for All His Haters
Actor Scott Baio has received a lot of hate since speaking at the Republican National Convention last month in Cleveland, but he doesn’t let it bother him.
In fact, he has a really simple outlook on the matter: “I don’t care,” Baio told The Hollywood Reporter.
Baio defended his RNC speech with the entertainment site and explained why he still thinks Trump will win.
“Yeah. I still think he’s going to win. I know he’s way ahead with Independents. I think the silent majority is about done with this crap,” he said.
When asked what he meant by “crap,” he elaborated.
The world is on fire. Nothing in this country is going in the right direction. They say Trump’s temperament is bad, and my response is, “Well, let’s see. Obamacare is a disaster. Immigration is a complete mess. People are coming here illegally from Muslim countries that want to kill us, the economy’s in the toilet and 95 million people are out of work. ISIS is cutting the heads off of people but Hillary and Obama’s temperament is great, so I’m happy about that.” You need to write sarcasm next to the sentence.
It’s when he was asked about what the speech may have done for his future career prospects that he got real.
“I’ll give you a very simple answer: I don’t care. I genuinely, in my heart, do not care if I ever work again. I don’t care. I’m comfortable and I’ve got a great life, but If I don’t have a country that is recognizable to me, I’ve got nothing,” he said.
Baio also said that many people have commended him for his speech.
“I had a woman grab me today — I was playing golf with my daughter — she grabbed my hand hard, and she said, ‘Thank you for what you said at the convention. Thank you.’”

I am with you all the way! Thank you for all that you said! You are so right! You are awesome!
Mr. Baio I applaud your honesty. People say it takes guts to do what you did, i think it’s really sad that one has to be gutsy to speak for what one supports, to choose and to endorse whomever one want. Since when is speaking your mind bad..in a country known for it’s freedom of speach.. since when is being a republican consider such a bad thing … this reminds me of the old days when people in Hollywood were blacklisted for being suspected to be communist. Just like Stacey Dash had her life changed from supporting her candidate. On the same token shouldn’t all these Hollywood actors and actresses he chastise for making their opinions public when they support a Democratic candidate. Somebody’s opinion should not be a reason to be able to get work in the industry, their talent should dictate that. Anyway even if you don’t work in Hollywood ever again (which will be our loss) I’m sure you can come up with a million things to do and be successful at them, so I’m glad you DONT CARE!!!
