Trump Refusing to Take a Presidential Salary, “I Won’t Even Take a Dollar!”
Donald Trump has said all along that he was running for president because he loved his country and knew he could “fix it.”
He already has everything – he’s a billionaire 10X over, so Trump, being a man who is true to his word, says that he will not accept a presidential salary.
Not even a dollar.

It wasn’t long after Donald Trump’s victory this week that questions began to circulate about what would happen to his business empire and income when the business mogul becomes president.
From the very beginning, Trump has promised that he’d set businesses concerns aside if he was elected. In fact, he told “Face The Nation” moderator John Dickerson last October that he’s been “phasing out” his role throughout his campaign.
“Look, I would cut all ties…. I wouldn’t care about it,” Trump told Dickerson. “My kids will run it. I wouldn’t want to expand very much. It wouldn’t matter to me. I have a chance at making America great again; that’s the whole focus.”
In addition, he promised last year that he would refuse to take a salary as president, too.
During a campaign appearance in Rochester, New Hampshire, last October, the billionaire told a crowd he would not be accepting the $400,000 annual salary if he became president.
“The first thing I’m going to do is tell you that if I’m elected president, I’m accepting no salary, OK?” Trump said. “That’s not a big deal for me.”

need to get your facts straight, Seniors have been denied their raises under Obama. 4 out of his 8 years we did not get raises. When we do get a raise it is less than $10 per month. Congress always get their raises and believe me it is 50 times more than we would get if we would get a raise. Please get your facts straight before touting it all over the internet. Also, Obama has been taking monies from Social Security for other things. That is for us paid by us.

Exactly, Obama has been draining our SS funds for his little programs that he wants paid for, so if he takes our money than it is harder to be traced. He made sure we got little less than $10.00 per month raise when he approved it. I pray that President elect Trump will change this, he knows the struggle that a majority of seniors are having due to the cost of living continuing to sky-rocket and they are unable to earn any extra money for many reasons. Regardless I believe that President-elect Trump will do all that he can for Seniors, Va Vets, Health Care, but until he is sworn in he can do very little except prepare carefully in picking his staff and preparing the agenda in the priority that it must take for the good of all the people. I know and believe that he will do with careful consideration.

I would greatly appreciate it if he donated a small amount to me. A person who has worked all their life for minimal wages. Have never purchased anything new. Everything I have was gave to me or purchased at garage sales. I with pride have worked for what I have I’m not and have never been one of those lazy ass people to sit on my ass at home and get everything handed to me. I would just like for one time in my life to have every single debt that I have paid off and all my bills paid up to date. Cant blame me for trying. Small business owner here, that tax cut you’re calling “power” for corporations will be giving corporations a huge influx of cash that will increase the salaries of all employees as well as the ability to expand their businesses and create more jobs. He’s also going to make it easier to start a business. I currently employee 18 people and in the last 10 years I’ve had 4 women that worked for me leave and start their own business. The tax cut will be used for growth, new businesses, new jobs and salary increases across the board.

Well he hasn’t paid taxes all those years so he doesn’t need the salary. The question is why won’t he release his taxes. There are poor people who struggle yet they pay their taxes. Some people go to jail for tax evasion. Maybe that is why he is not accepting the $400,000 presidential salary.
If Trump doesn’t take the salary will he have to show his annual tax return while in office? Could that be the other reason he is not taking the money?
