TRIGGERED! “Environmental Justice Warrior” Resigns from EPA After 24 Years
Apparently, President Trump has some of the massive DC swamp triggered and draining ITSELF!
From PBS
The head of the Environmental Protection Agency’s office on environmental justice has resigned in protest over the Trump administration’s proposal to slash funding for programs that help poor and minority communities nationwide.
Mustafa Ali, an associate assistant EPA administrator, helped found the environmental justice office in the 1990s and worked under Republican and Democratic presidents.
Ali told InsideClimate News, which first reported on his resignation, that he sees no indication the Trump administration is interested in helping vulnerable communities. He says his “values and priorities seem to be different than our current leadership, and because of that I feel that it’s best if I take my talents elsewhere.”
Ali’s resignation letter urges EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt to reconsider proposals to cut EPA’s budget, including environmental justice grants, by one-quarter.
Look, Conservatives support CLEANER AIR, but when Democrats start using “Climate Change” combined with shoddy science to pitch massive tax scams and policy overreach, we get pissed.
The EPA was a bloated anti-Capitalism and anti-Energy Independence bureaucracy under Obama.
Trump has already announced he will cut 25% of the EPA and quite frankly we would not mind if he just disbanded the whole thing and started over.
Mustafa was an “environmental justice warrior” who claimed the effects of “climate change” impacted low income communities more.
As far as we are concerned, him leaving the EPA is good for everyone.

Wonder, how much money he put in his pocket. He resigned because he felt his days are numbered and that he might end up in prison.
This is the type of person that ruined government. So excited to see them voluntarily leave
Good riddance.
Cutting program by 25% is a good start , I’d like to see it cut by 75% since most of that grants overlap areas that the local government should be doing..
For example Fostering Community Participation in Air Pollution Reduction Initiatives (Springfield, MA) (2012) was granted up to $30k to educate people that idling a car in traffic when not moving increases air pollution….. Duh
Below is the actual project excerpt.
The project involved surveying 93 residents to learn about the community’s perception of the quality of air in their neighborhoods and on their ideas on how to improve their air quality. The project team learned that idling (operating a vehicle with the engine on while the vehicle is not moving) was a great concern for the Springfield community and prompted the launch of an air-monitoring project at five neighborhood schools.
Project Accomplishments:
Over 350 residents educated on air pollution
Anti-idling signage posted near drop off areas at Springfield schools
93 Residents surveyed on neighborhood air quality
50 adults and 9 youth trained on environmental advocacy and leadership
