Tonight’s GOP Convention Speaker Peter Thiel is a YUGE DEAL

Some of you may not recognize the name Peter Thiel.

However,  you’ll recognize his accomplishments.

Peter Thiel is a German-American entrepreneur, venture capitalist, hedge fund manager, and the co-founder of Paypal.

I had the opportunity to sit down with Amy Mek, a powerhouse Trump supporter with a large Twitter following, who gave me the “skinny” on Peter Thiel, and why his speech tonight is so important.

Amy, thanks for chatting with me, I am really anxious to learn more about Peter Thiel.

I am really excited that Peter Thiel is a speaker at the RNC convention. He’s a member of several key groups that regularly attack Donald Trump.

So, I know he’s the co-founder of Paypal, that puts him in the “tech group,” what else is Peter up to?

Yes, he’s definitely a force in the “tech industry.” He’s probably one of the most elite entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, a place that is very liberal and not friendly towards Donald Trump. 

So much so, that recently more than 100 Silicon Valley leaders signed a letter opposing Donald Trump.

Basically, Peter is the lone voice of common sense for Trump in that region and he’s very well-respected.

It sounds like the Silicon Valley anti-Trumper’s are actively vocal.

Yes, as a matter of fact, TechCrunch, which is the top news source for the tech community has become increasingly political and have lashed out at Trump on a number of occasions.

It’s amazing to have someone from Silicon Valley supporting Trump, what else does Peter bring to the table?

Well, Peter is gay and is very well regarded within the gay community and among several influential LGBTQ organizations.

Wow, so tech, Silicon Valley, and gay. That’s impressive. The Mainstream media won’t know what to think.

Exactly! Also, Thiel was one of the early Facebook investors, and he remains on their board of directors.

Wait, so you’re telling me that there’s a conservative voice over at Facebook?

Yes, however, one board member cannot drive the direction of a company, obviously – but Peter remains one of few influential pro-Trump voices within the new media world.

That’s amazing, so his speech tonight is a big deal?

Absolutely, a lot of people will be watching what he says and he could change some minds or at least plants seeds of change. I encourage everyone to show their support and watch his speech, and share their thoughts about it on social media.
