NEW YORK — The Clinton Global Initiative has alerted dozens of employees that their jobs will be eliminated at year’s end, even as it plans to retain some staff to continue working with donors, according to two former Clinton Foundation officials who remain in communication with staff.
The winding down of CGI after this week’s glitzy gathering and the resulting layoffs stem from concessions made by the Clinton Foundation to controversies swirling around Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
But the recent moves to sunset the project have prompted controversies of their own around the Clinton Foundation, which administers CGI. And they presage the difficulties the Clintons can be expected to face if Hillary Clinton wins the presidency and they move forward with plans to scale back the rest of the foundation.
Some foundation allies grumbled that the announcement of CGI’s elimination — and of many of its positions — was handled in an insensitive manner, according to the former officials. Others predicted that retaining some staff to work with deep-pocketed government, corporate and nonprofit donors on existing programs would only feed criticism about whether some of the businessmen, companies or foreign governments that donated to the global charity got preferential treatment from Hillary Clinton’s State Department.

Are you sure the positions are being eliminated and not just being offshore to India and other low-cost economies? Off shoring is supported by the Clintons (ex. NAFTA).
These India-based IT firms specialize in outsourcing and offshoring and are among the top H-1B and L-1 visa employers in the United States. Together HCL and Tata have stolen tens of thousands of U.S. jobs from American workers all across the country. HCL and Tata are responsible for the layoffs of workers from Disney, Southern California Edison, Northeast Utilities, Xerox, University of California, Siemens, and countless others.
A review of Clinton’s record shows that she has not only defended and enabled these corporations’ anti-American worker business model, but she has also pushed to expand it— calling for substantial increases to the number of low-wage workers admitted on guest worker visas and suggesting that American workers lack the requisite skills to fill U.S. jobs.
Interestingly, both companies have given money to the Clintons either via donations to the Clinton Foundation or paying Bill Clinton to deliver speeches.

Hillary, you have already said all of that. As for Trump outsourcing his products, what choice does he have if he wants to sell a product? Make it here & have to TRY to sell it for a profit only to have the same products sold for a tenth next door. That won’t work so we should put tariffs on products that other countries who force people to work for a fraction of our minimum wage or ban any imports that take American jobs.

So as a business man who is admittedly in it to make money, you fault him for doing what our laws and policies require if one wants to make a profit? He hasn’t been part of the government making the rules. Your solution to leave the same corrupt leaders in place to force more businesses to do the same in order to survive? I take it that you don’t run your own business.
How about electing people who have had experience outside of government like the founding fathers intended, to fix the mess that blood sucking lifer politicians have put us in. Someone who has actually employed people. Someone who wishes that they could employ more Americans and still make a profit. Do you believe that Hillary is going to do that? She has told you that she plans to continue things as they are. She’s making hundreds of millions for herself by forcing these policies on us. Is this really what you see as a solution?
I remember when Bill was president and the auto industry was first starting to show signs of trouble. He proceeded to impose a 7000 dollar import tax on foreign made cars. The idea being that it would boost American made auto sales after all who would pay 7000 dollars more for an import? It took about a month for the greedy American auto industry to raise their prices by 7000 dollars, defeating the whole purpose of the excise tax. American business is it’s own worst enemy. The government can do all it wants to bring business back or to help those that have stayed but American greed will defeat it every time.
