The New York Times executive editor said during a visit to Harvard in September that he would risk jail to publish Donald Trump’s tax returns. He made good on his word Saturday night when the Timespublished Trump tax documents from 1995, which show the Republican presidential nominee claimed losses of $916 million that year — enough to avoid paying federal income taxes for as many as 18 years afterward.
Federal law makes it illegal to publish an unauthorized tax return:
It shall be unlawful for any person to whom any return or return information (as defined in section 6103(b)) is disclosed in a manner unauthorized by this title thereafter willfully to print or publish in any manner not provided by law any such return or return information. Any violation of this paragraph shall be a felony punishable by a fine in any amount not exceeding $5,000, or imprisonment of not more than 5 years, or both, together with the costs of prosecution.

You know I’m not voting for either candidate this election. That being said I strongly agree. He knew the potential consequences of this particular action and should face jail time. As an American citizen Trump has every right to withhold his tax returns. As American voters we have every right to judge him one way or the other for not releasing them. No one has the right to force him to do so.

Equal pay? Women in her organization are paid less than men. Pay should not be based on gender but ability. companirs have set pay scales and based on education and experience you qualify for a position and each position has a high and low limit for each position. Women as a whole typicall earn less based on education and experience, engineers and technical jobs pay more than liberal arts degrees.
Woman’s right to choose? What would your baby choose?

The money for this has to come from somewhere. Who pays for it. Trump has put forth a plan. Ironic, woman’s right to choose (abortion) affordable child care appear to be polar opposites.

Obviously a supporter, and you have your rights, but her “experience”is by far more years more than Mr. Trumps because he has never been a politician, is not a record of successful events. Her entire political career has been for personal gain rather than working for our country. When she attempted the healthcare program that became Obamacare, even the Democrats would not vote for it. She has flip flopped on so many policies that no one can be sure what she stands for. We can be absolutely sure that she will say whatever is necessary at the time depending on her audience at the time to get that particular voter. Trump’s business record is superb! How can you call him unsuccessful? He was LOANED $1 million by his dad to get his business started. So NO corporation actually pays taxes no matter what their tax return says.

I do not know you, but I might guess that you’ve never owned your own business and don’t understand the concept, but it is not unethical, when facing YUUUUGE losses, (like nearly a billion dollars) that you use the carry over provisions in the tax code to do just that, carry over a portion of that loss to future year’s, so that you don’t lose your shirt one year, then have to send the IRS your pants the next. Do you take the standard deduction on your taxes when, if you itemize, you get a bigger deduction? Probably not. Why not? Because the tax code allows you to do so. Not unethical, now, is it? I mean, if you find Mr. Trump’s practices unethical, might I suggest you claim ZERO dependents, take no deductions (like for an IRA or qualified retirement account), and take the smallest possible deductions so that you maximize your tax liability. That’s how it should be done, right?
