The president-elect’s oldest daughter was traveling with her husband and three children last Thursday when she was harassed by a fellow passenger who was irate over her father.
According to reports, Professor Matt Lasner’s husband – holding a child of his own – began ranting at Mrs. Trump and told her that her father was “ruining the country.”
Lasner and Dan Goldstein were removed from the JetBlue flight before takeoff.
Nearly 7,000 people have now signed a petition calling on the public New York City college to fire Lasner, an urban studies and planning professor.
Lasner tweeted before boarding the flight that the Trump family was in the terminal and that his husband was going to “harass” them.
