The 5 Stooges Who Ruined Their “Conservative” Careers By Joining “NeverTrump”
There was a time when people like Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and Erick Erickson were powerful voices within the Conservative movement. That was BT or “Before Trump,” when most American Conservatives were asleep at the wheel and operating on status quo neo-conservative autopilot, completely unaware that the maverick radio voices we hailed as rebels, were actually globalist shills-for-hire.
The silent majority was silent because we were napping, however, Trump has awakened the slumbering giant and we’re hip to the globalist trick played upon us by so-called radio conservatives, politicians, media, and pundits, who subtly pepper falsehoods like, amnesty is good, trade is fine, debt is just part of life, and nation building is patriotic throughout their schtick.
Yes, the slumber is over and the “alt right” is gleefully humming a tune commonly blasted at Trump rallies.
“We’re not gonna take it….Anymore.”
One result of this “awakening,” is the downfall of several once powerful radio voices – men whose egos are so immense and selfish that the very essence of their global schtick TRUMPED ethics, honesty, and common sense.
They all have one thing in common – they each made the same mistake on the way to Irrelvence Island.
They joined NeverTrump.
Glenn Beck
Crazy Glenn Beck spent over half a million of his own dollars to try and get Ted Cruz elected. However, in the end – all the money, fasting, and nazi-namecalling added up to a big fat zero. Cruz failed, NeverTrump never mattered, and Beck’s “media empire” crumbled (like a plate of crushed Cheetos).

Ben Shapiro
Once revered as the future voice of conservatism, Ben Shapiro was a beacon of hope within the conservative movement. However, everything changed for Ben when he decided to go NeverTrump and throw his career out the window to defend proven liar, Michelle Fields (see stories here, here, and here).
Erick Erickson
The moment Erick Erickson started bashing Trump two things happened. Firstly, he started resembling a thumb and secondly his career fell apart. Erickson went from being hailed as a powerful voice of “conservatism” to huffing and puffing all over Twitter, bitching about Trump with fellow NeverTrump dropkick Rick Wilson (another talentless hack who looks like a thumb).

Mark Levin
During the GOP primary we discovered that Mark Levin will support anyone as long as they promise to buy his dumb books. Levin went on a screaming-mimmy tirade for the last 3 months of Ted Cruz’s race to loserville, bashing Trump and proudly stating he was “NeverTrump.” Since then, Levin’s ratings have tanked.

Hugh Hewitt
Hugh Hewit looks like a cross between Phil Donahue, George McFly, and Justin Bieber. His claim to fame was trying to trip Tump up with a “gotcha” question about some preposterously unknown faction of the Iraqi Army. Since then he’s spent his time on the radio looking for ways to “help Hillary” and losing listeners.

Honorable mentions go to Rush Limbaugh and Dana Loesch. Rush has never gone “full dumbo” and declared himself NeverTrump, although his actions have us wondering. On the other hand, dopey Dana claims she’s not a NeverTrumper (she is) however, she warns us that “mean Trump supporters” may push her there.

“That was BT or “Before Trump,” when most American Conservatives were asleep at the wheel and operating on status quo neo-conservative autopilot, completely unaware that the maverick radio voices we hailed as rebels, were actually globalist shills-for-hire.” That, is brilliant. In a nutshell, exactly what fueled the Trump phenomenon. Kudos.
Thank you!
Great article Amy Moreno! From the beginning, I knew Trump is the real deal. His non PC style propelled him to be the GOP nominee giving us a voice in this dirty politics. These #NeverTrump movement was very vicious but certainly lame with Obama, Hillary and their cohorts. God is good for when you’re walking in the light, it’s hard to get stumble! Too bad, they don’t see Trump as he’s the only one looking after the best interest of the average Americans!
For Sure! And may I add that a ** GOOD Shephard who Protects his SHEEP” whether they are awake or not isn’t always a GODLY man! He is Strong man who knows that the WOLVES are at the GATE and keeps them from Coming in!!
I agree with every word you wrote because it so is true. I used to love Glenn Beck and watch him every day at 5:00 PM on FOXNEWS. I was sorry to see him go. But as the years went by he lost me and I just can’t understand the positions he is taking today He has changed completely and I will never listen to him again. I now love Michael Savage and Joyce Kaufmann. At a presentation she made one day, I saw her kiss the American Flag and I have been doing so whenever I am near one. I will be looking foward to more of your articles
wow, I’m glad that there are others who think like I do….I feel validated
And Dana Loesch blocks everyone who dares to say some truth about the #nevertrump movement being holier than thou
. Lol. Also, Megyn Kelly’s ratings dropped but then she finagled her way back into Trump’s good graces, only to shove it up his nose again and is now hosting the H8 Trump Jerry Springer hour again.
Loesch is a #cucksucking #NeverTrump #mediawhore that signed on to the “Dirt Road Queen 16” letter to fire Cory L. because the Fields lie. Hope she chokes on a condom.
Beck lost me years ago,Dana recently, levin, sadly when he started in on trump, the others I don’t know,I listen to the radio most of the day.Rush- has been. Michael Savage #1 in my book,
Dr. Michael Savage well worth the time.
Savage is the man!
What us your Twitter handle, there are many?
Thank you @georgeokc
Agree with the Savage analysis. Wish he was a little later drive time on WABC.
Yeah, Beck lost me when he started pretending that he was the reincarnation of Martin Luther King. What a dope!
Lol. Don’t forget the….. You are exactly right. Their theme song is, TV Killed the Radio Stars.
Beck lost me, along with Ted Cruz, the moment he started handing out teddy bears and soccer balls to parasitic welfare invaders from south of the border. At that point you realize he’s just another Cuckservative. He will never defend his own people or his own country. He’ll talk tough about “dropping bombs” but the real bombs are immigration, both legal and illegal. That is a war waged on America and we’re losing. We’ve been losing since 1965.
Try listening to Laura Ingraham! I listen to her and Savage. She’s intelligent and definitely fair. I tried listening to Dana again yesterday but sadly she’s still a bitter h8r.
What a bunch of total and absolute LOSERS….. who had the best opportunity in their now meaningless little lives to be able to embrace the best thing that has happened to the Republican party since Ronald Reagan. Like I have ZERO respect for any of these guys any more.
Used to listen to Mark Levin…..not anymore. I switched to Savage. Borders, Language and Culture says it all!
And he’s been saying it for YEARS!
This whole “never Trump” movement is an exercise in futility. All of these people mentioned in the article have tried to pin down Trump on one issue or another in an effort to PROVE he isn’t a TRUE conservative. What they are missing is that the Trump supporters just don’t care. The majority of America is in the middle, not extreme left and certainly not extreme right. In the general election we’ll need someone who can draw support from across the aisle in the same manner that Reagan did. They were called Reagan democrats. Since when did the conservative voices for America demand open borders, horrible trade deals that put Americans out of work, massive illegal immigration, healthcare for illeglas over our veterans and a runaway national debt? PW and Joe Cool said it best in the above comments. Great article Amy.
Thank you Steve. Great response. I enjoyed reading it.
Now a person can tell Levin to get the hell outta here.
Great article, except about the Rush part! While not endorsing in primaries Rush is one of Trump’s most fervent supporters (he calls it explainers)! He explains Trump!
Thank you! I respect your thoughts on Rush. Thanks for reading!
DITTO! Willy. Rush has “explained” Trump while calling out some in Amy’s list above stating they have NOT truly “listened” to Trump. Rush has been very fair on all candidates, though I was concerned a few times when he appeared soft on Cruz. Beck certainly did not “listen” to Trump. Mr. “Hear-A-Man-Out-Before-Condemning” aka Mr. “Man-of-Peace” threw Trump under the bus without even having a private sit down with him. Just could not make that “personal” phone call. This was totally against all Beck taught during his FOX days. Sad to see it so.
Rush is smart enough to know that his popularity can definitely be affected by an extreme position against Trump. And if you then dedicate your 3 hour spot to destroy him……your listeners will turn on you. So, Rush played it right and knows to not alienate his fans. The others did not and with a holier than thou attitude, are now losing those who made them famous. And we like it because they made it personal and attacked us!
Amy. I agree with everything you wrote, except for the inclusion of Rush Limbaugh. He has sat on the sidelines, neither endorsing nor rejecting Trump. This is not new, as he doesn’t do endorsements in Primaries.
He has become the only person I can listen to and I appreciate the fact that his show takes an agnostic approach to it all. While he may take an.occasional dig at Trump, frankly, he’s done that to every candidate. He calls it like he sees it and let’s his audience make their own decisions. That’s the biggest complaint his audience has of him. They try to force him to pick a side and he simply wont.
For that, I give him high marks. My fear is that if the left ever paid attention to his analysis, and acted upon it, we in the right would be in trouble.
Ken, I respect your views on Rush. I appreciate you reading the piece!
Agree Ken Adams – have been a “political junkie” for years.
Most disappointing is Mark Levin, gave up on Glenn Beck long ago, never liked Hugh Hewitt, never heard of Erick Erickson until recently ( thought a big blowhard) and never heard of Dana Loesch until her position on guns but when she appeared as one of the National Review gang of 22 was totally turned off then & afterward.
Don’t agree he was total in with never trump… in my opinion
Add loser Michael Medved to the list as well. His show is God awful. In the first 5 seconds of every show, he starts bashing Trump.
Medved? Is he still on the radio??? LOL
Rush is definitely NOT a NeverTrump. I don’t have the opportunity to listen to most of his show, but for the hours I have caught, he’s been an excellent political analyst on this entire campaign, as always.
Yes, it was clear that he favored Cruz as I did. [I still think Cruz would have made a better president. However, Cruz made one misstep after the other once the voting began. Seriously, you’re going to call your competitor voters ignorant? Yeah, that’ll win them over. Bring on old Bush staffers to your “anti-establishment” campaign. Huh? And there are several other very questionable actions.]
Back to Rush. I think he’s been very fair and even handed with Trump. He’s admired the way Trump has run his campaign and loves the guts that Trump is showing. Believe me, I’m sure Rush so relishing how Trump has opened the 16 inch guns on Hillary and Bill. Me, too, for that matter!
I will definitively be voting Trump this fall. On the whole I like what he has to say, not always a fan of the how. My biggest concern is that he has very little conservative track record, more of a liberal one. But, for now, I’m willing to attribute that to “just doing business in New York” kind of thing. I so hope he continues to stick to his purported policies, fighting the onslaught of liberalism and the liberal media BS. That’s why he’s winning! People, including me, are so sick of the Washington DC Establishment (both parties) and the media being one and the same and “our” Republican Party doing next to nothing.
Anyway… Go Trump!
Matt, great response. I enjoyed reading it! Glad you’re on the Trump Train!
Matt said if for me as well, Amy! I’ve turned off every one of these clowns with Never Trump campaign. As far as Rush goes, he has been more than fair and unlike these phonies, promises to vote for Trump in the election. Rush is the real thing with being in the “Never Hillary” camp!
Yes, Rush was fair, but too soft on Cruz. Cruz also had an eligibility issue which was never truly examined. If Cruz had been confident about his eligibility he would have unsealed records AND had a full public debate on his eligibility before announcing or just after announcing his campaign run. This would have helped him, but instead it hurt him. While Canada is an American “brother”, we still seek one of our own and have that in Trump. Cruz also was promoted as the “first Hispanic President”. This indeed caused ‘HIS PANIC’ among many Americans as many Hispanics desire to uplift their homeland in America rather than America herself. The American Man has seen this time and again and wants no more of it. Trump, a true, undivided American, has stood and is standing for the average Joe in America. He is willing to fully defend America and her people in a way we have not seen since our Founding Years. I believe Trump actually “knows” just who America is…he knows her ancient roots and thus he is fearless.
Well said, Angela.
Great comment!
Rush Limbaugh had me worried about some of his comments which may come back to haunt him. Kudos to Ann Coulter who called it from the very beginning and never wavered.
Ann Coulter wolud make a great addition to Trumps’ cabinet. Allbeit, likely she wouldn’t take it. What she does already is what she is best at. I love Trump. Was a bit sketchy in the beginning, but as I listened and watched him…..I don’t know how any normal person can’t love him.
Erickson and his band of hacks are second only to the Beckian dumpster fire in loss of prestige, influence, and ultimately spendable cash. EE and GB tried several times to “ban” Trump from their airwaves and events and just could not stick to it. But what that revealed to the world is that they really do not have that much influence at all. It will be very interesting what happens to EE down here in ATL, where he tried to act like a power broker in the GOP primary but just wound up broken and ignored. Were he not sandwiched between three hours of Hannity from 5-7pm, I don’t think he’d have much of an audience left. We shall see as we cycle out of en election year. EE’s 15min may be up. None too soon.
Jeff great reply on EE. Nothing more than a greasy stuffed shirt who thought he had power to influence not only Atlanta viewer but national. I have found and switched to Bryan Crabtree on BIZ at least for EE first hour then turn it off. Repeatedly complained to WSB that they are airing commentary by the EE Show that insults over half THEIR audience. When he actually came out and called Trump supporters mis-guided uneducated children allowed to make decisions that they don’t have the knowledge to make…a common thread running through the Cra-cra Constitutional Conservatives alike! …it struck a foreboding chord. They are hysterical until you realize they are dead serious about creating laws preventing people who don’t vote like they want from voting. That’s why on some level this is the year an outsider must win before the GOP tries to make even more laws affecting primaries and qualifications of candidates! That’s my fear.
Brilliant writing, Amy. Shows those neo-cons, who thought they were “Conservative l” how they really are just a bunch of globalist bought sycophants. Just recently read something about Glenn Feckless Beck changing his mind saying he “made a mistake”…blah, blah, blah! Too late, Beck! You “anointed” the wrong man…ranted on Trump too many & too much. ..and look at your ratings now? That’s the only reason these “celebs” are reversing what they said. Don’t truly trust them now. However, I do trust Trump! I have some insider info from people I know who had personal meetings with Donald Trump, people I spoken on the phone who personally met Donald Trump. ..& even I got a handshake from Donald Trump, tells me a lot about a person, too. Believe me, this man is true to his word, honestly.
Thank you so much. Your response was wonderful and spot on.
Never a Trump fan, was a huge Beck fan. What turned me off of Beck was not his backing of Cruz like Cruz was the second coming of Christ, but the fact that Beck has become (or maybe always was) a disingenuous person. He claims to believe we should all treat each other with respect, then goes on air and ridicules people on hwo they talk, or what they believe in. Just last week they were making fun of someone with a lisp.
Then I realized, Cruz made a promise to back the winner of the nomination. But he hasn’t and Beck has never held him to that. Why not? Because Beck himself has no integrity, his character is a joke.
Jonathon, good and accurate observations. I hope you join the Trump Train. We’d be lucky to have you.
Yes…I recall in one of the last debates, Cruz said “I said I would support the winner, and I am a man of my word, I will support him or her”. What an ass he really turned out to be. Lyin’ Ted…..spot on!
Exactly! And he’s a closet pro-NWO cultist also. I despise him.
Perfect observation.
Thank you Barb for reading the article!
The Night of the Long knives
I have to disagree regarding Rush. I think he has remained above the fray.
Agreed!
Rush was proven to be a paid amnesty shill and paid lip service to Trump supporters. Loesch is a militant NeverTrumper who mocked a female Trump supporter as ‘flat-chested’ because her breasts were removed due to cancer.
Yes – and I covered that here http://truthfeed.com/?p=2273
Rush is anything but an amnesty shill! I don’t agree with everything about him but he constantly reminds everyone the reason for amnesty is to increase the number of Democrat voter! Doesn’t sound like an amnesty shill to me!
All I can say I trust trump more than these arrogant Rino conservatives! Vote trump!
Well said!
Is anyone here old enough to remember a group called the Moral Majority? They were an organization dedicated to criticizing un-Christian-like factions of American culture in the early 1980s, such as Hollywood and the rock industry.
They mean little now, but in 1980 they were considered a leading voice among conservatives.
How is this relevant? Because it shows something that none of thee radio talk show hosts mentioned above seem to understand: All political movements change and grow and what was important to one generation often becomes irrelevant and obsolete to the next one.
In other words, the definition of “conservative” as a political idea isn’t frozen in time. It changes to fit the times. By trying to claim “Trump isn’t a real conservative” they’re not acknowledging that he might, in fact, be a real conservative as it’s relevant to this moment — not ten years ago or even five years ago.
I think that Donald Trump’s initial statements about illegal immigrants redefined conservatism for a new generation — a generation that no longer had jobs waiting when they turn 21 (or 18) and is witnessing a major cultural sea change. The priorities are different than they were in 1980, when Ozzy Osbourne appeared to be the biggest cultural threat we had.
Additionally, Trump’s very manner of speaking is helping to push back another problem Americans have to deal with: Overbearing political correctness. Again, the culture has changed. We can no longer communicate like we used to, especially on college campuses. We think in words and when people ban words, they’re essentially banning certain thoughts (and ideas). This matters to people, even if it’s only on a symbolic level and a lot of Trump’s appeal has to do with this specific facet of his personality.
By bashing Trump, these radio hosts ruined their careers because they have no understanding of the cultural zeitgeist or what Americans care about today.
This is a GREAT response. I believe that Tipper Gore (Al’s wife) was part of the Moral Majority. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Good stuff!
Very unfair to Rush. He has never come out for anyone. He has been very analytical and fair with his evaluation of what has been happening. Once again Rush has been the go to guy for knowledgeable opinion. The rest of the list, especially Beck and Levin is spot on.
Davey, I respect your views. I felt that Rush crossed the line one too many times, but I see where you’re coming from. Thank you for reading!
I agree. Rush crossed the line quite a bit. He may not have verbally trashed Trump, but he came very close…a lot! Now he is back-pedaling….just like Erick is trying to do. I can’t stomach EE, and can’t figure out why WSB insists on keeping him on the air during rush hour each evening. He needs to be off the air, or on at midnight. I’m ready for WSB to fire him so I can listen to them again.
Rush has yet to endorse Trump. A Cruz man all,the way.
Brilliant article Amy, with the exception of being so mean to Rush. I think over the period of 25 or 30 years Rush has been the single most constant factor in the world of politics. He’s a lot like Mr. Trump and calls ’em like he sees them. My worse concern is I believe early on the country is going to be in for some tough times and Trump is going to get blamed for it when, in actuality, he will just be doing that which is necessary to get the country back on it’s feet. Everyone is going to have to suffer a bit more to bring everything back from the depths Obama has taken us to. But, in the end, it will all be worth it and thanks in large part to Donald J. Trump, America Will Be Great Again!
Raymond, thank you – and I totally respect your point of view on Rush. I appreciate the feedback!
I turned away from Rush because of his obvious favor for all things Cruz. It was very clear he didn’t like Trump. I was listening today and was shocked at how supportive he was toward Trump. Guess even Rush wants to be on the winning team.
Cas, I am ok with that! If he wants to jump on the Trump Train I will happily scooch over and make room! 😉
Yes Rush was very late, but he grabbed on to the caboose of the Trump Train, the rest got left at the station with another member of the #NeverTrump club, Paul Ryan!
I agree that Rush tried to be somewhat even-handed, though for a while he was too supportive of the Canadian Cruz. Today, his analysis was much better much appreciated. I hope he continues in that vein. Levin …no thank you. His arrogance and especially his desire to hand over the Constitution to the power grabbers (COS, the Young Turks, Farris and Meckler, all comers) still make me furious. The Cruz connection to Levin was just the icing on the cake for me…birds of a feather. Beck. Have you ever watched anyone just flip inside out and implode like he has? Wow.
Anyway…agree with the rest of your analysis. And what someone above said about Ann Coulter…that she stuck to her guns throughout.
Cheryl, the Beck implosion is quite a disturbing site to behold. I just can’t believe there are people out there that still listen to him and think, “Yeah! Right on!” :\
Amy, great article and spot on! Glenn/Levin/Dana/EE/Hewitt Beck are a bunch of phony conservatives and are well on the way to the dust bin of history as are Kristol/Brooks and beltway neocon GOP ‘elites’. Good riddance! Rush is in a league of his own and I give him a pass. Awesome courage on your part to call Rush out! He took the call on the mornings of the Iowa and Indiana primary and put a Never Trumper on in the first segment (above the fold) so he was a Cruzer…
Great read. We have a local guy that I’ve had to turn off due to the never Trump garbage and 323rd party talk. As others have said don’t think Rush should be mentioned, but some days I have to wonder. I really wonder who he voter for in the primary. I voted for Cruz but shortly after I regreted it when he said he didn’t know about the add his super Pac put out.
Agree Will, on your Rush statement, but only thought he was too soft on Cruz. On a grand scale, I think Cruz was used to elevate Beck’s “Constitutional Message” while at the same time killing Beck. This is “way up there” or “out there” thought, but it is the only “overall good” that came from the Cruz campaign…the “elevation of America’s Constitution”. Beck spoke more about it than Cruz did. Beck was the better speaker on this topic as well and without Cruz to hang on, Beck’s Constitutional message would have been flat. Beck’s demise rapidly progressed when he nailed himself to Cruz. Now he is in death’s door and too blind to see who Trump is.
I firmly believe Beck joined Cruz because they are both members of the cult 7 Mountains Dominionism. Cruz only pretends to be a Christian. The man perverts scripture and both he and Beck have gone to the dark side. Lying adulterer Ted Cruz would never be my pick. So few did their research. These things matter to most of us. But how could Rush not know about Cruz’s vices? All he had to say about Cruz was complimentary while he is a total fraud.
Any I did not hear you mention Shawn Hanity
Do you not like him or do you not know him
He has been aTrump Backer since day one I listen to him everyday. He is my kind of consecutive
If you haven’t heard him try it
And as far as Rush goes I don’t believe he has ever been a “Not Trump” guy at all He is and has been the voice of conservatisum since day one
I really enjoyed your article
You are spot on, Bobby! I deeply respect Sean Hannity for the access he gave to all of the Republican candidates this past year. Very evenhanded approach. And he is a passionate “Never Hillary” guy who has called out these so-called conservative voices who have taken a “Never Trump” stand. Thank God for the voices of reason like Sean and Rush. My prayer is that more people who are undecided or even opposed to Trump will come to their senses and see that Hillary would be ruinous for our great country. She has only her own best interests at heart and doesn’t give a rip for the people in our nation.
Hi Bobby, I did not add Sean to this list of “5 stooges” because I know he’s been very fair to Trump. Thank you so much for reading and enjoying the article and also for taking the time to respond! Good post!
I’d like to add Houston’s 740 KTRH Conservative Talk Show host, Michael Berry to that list. Would love to know how his ratings has tanked. He went ‘crazy’ with the ‘Never Trump’..even stating that he’d vote for Hillary before casting a vote for Trump if he got the GOP nomination. Lost all his ‘common sense’.
Michael Berry needs to be added to this list.
Rush has been impartial. I could tell he liked Cruz and Trump. Both set of supporters have been mad at him. Good article though. Can’t stand the rest of those bloviating blowhards
Great article, but two honorable mentions were omitted, and in fact should have made the Un Magnificent Seven with the additions of Bill Kristol and Lowry.
Excellent article Amy. I’m a talk radio diehard.
Used to listen to Ben Shapiro every morning, NEVER AGAIN.
Used to listen to Hugh Hewitt every day, NEVER AGAIN,
Used to listen to Michael Medved every day NEVER, NEVER AGAIN
Used to listen to Mark Levin every day, NEVER AGAIN
Now it’s sports radio, and NPR. Who would have thought NPR is fairer to Trump than the above media hacks!!!
Fino, I actually LOL’d at the NPR stuff…Ya know, it’s funny – I watched Rachel Madow recently and thought to myself, “Oh my god, she’s fairer than half the people on Fox News!”
I think Rush has been pretty fair. Beck is definitely on the sauce again and I have NEVER liked Dana! Here in St. Louis she has always had this cult-like following that for the life of me I will never understand, and God help the conservative who actually says out loud that they don’t like her! Levin could not even tell people he had a family member who was working on the Cruz campaign so he has gone to Hack-ville. Time for some new “new conservative media”!
These Radio Commentators are paid to talk about Liberals and Obama. Donald threw them off balance because the talking points all changed and don’t align with their agenda. They don’t care what the American public thinks, they are just selling Air time. Now they are all outside looking in wondering what has happened.
great article , thanks
Enjoyed your article and agree with much of what you said and there are some great comments here.
Being forthright: Trump was not my first choice, or even my second choice. However, I was never a NeverTrump. From the beginning and listened to everybody researched everybody and avoided a big emotional investment in anybody. I must give KUDOS to Sean Hannity. He gave every candidate repeatedly full hour programs to talk and get their messages out there, and he did it in a respectful, non-confrontational format. He did ask questions, but he did American a great service–for those who took advantage of the opportunity.
I think most of these “personalities” have too much ego involved in all of this, and they and many of their supporters HAVE invested intense emotion in the process. Now is the time for LOGIC OVER EMOTION, and these guys did the liberals “job” for them–defaming, smearing, misrepresenting and mis-characterizing Republicans. Shame, I say!
I have been a Rush listener since 1992, and never have I been upset with him before. He said he wasnt taking a side, but if you listened, it was apparent that Trump was not his guy. I do appreciate that in spite of his subtle support for Cruz, he realizes that NEVER HILLARY is where it’s at.
I have been stunned and appalled at the mentally and emotionally unstable conduct of Glenn Beck. I totally agree with the previous comment about how Glenn used to talk kindness and compassion and then went after Trump with jaw-dropping vitriol. Outrageous hypocrisy on display if you ask me! He is not even rational these days. Huge disappointment. You cant behave like that and keep rational people’s respect.
Another big name that deserves to be shamed is Mitt Romney. His attacks were not only FACTUALLY UNTRUE, but they are the antithesis of the “Romney demeanor.” Why couldnt he have gone after Obama with HALF of the vigor and venom he unleashed on Trump?
Again, good article.
Rachael , very well said!
Don’t forget Brad Thor.
That guy should be arrested.
Rush maybe on the Trump bandwagon now but to me it’s just simple self preservation. Beneath it all he’s just a NWO globalist who adheres to the whole unfettered free trade dogma. He lost me when he was all for having Dubai run our ports
I feel that there was a definite “self-preservation” shift to Trump as well. Although, I agree he’s not a Hillary guy – but I also agree with you that he (and most of these people) are neo-con globalists.
Outstanding reporting Amy! We have all had to go through a process of understanding the “Trump Effect”…it took me about 30 seconds on that glorious June 16, 2015 day, and then, I was all in. Obviously, these people are slow thinkers…or something!
Thank you kindly!! Appreciate the great post!
Please don’t forget about Greta. She has been an avid supporter of Trump from the beginning. She has also dissed many of the above talk show hosts . She went as far as having her picture made holding a Trump sign. I just love Greta and Judge Jeanine. Both are great Trump supporters.
Agree on both of them, Sandra. Thanks for the post!
Rush Limbaugh allowed Ted Cruz to use his name in at least two fund raising emails that requested donations to Cruz to prove Rush was correct in his assessment of Cruz as the most Conservative of the men running for the GOP nomination. Now, I seriously doubt Cruz could do that without permission from Limbaugh. At least Rush has certainly gone all out for Trumo lately.
Yeah, I definitely feel he was a “Cruz guy” and that’s ok – I am not suggesting that everyone has to think or “be” a certain way – however, there were a few times where I thought Rush crossed the line and spoke some untruth’s in order to perhaps keep the Cruz momentum going.
I agree completely. I am done with Rush. He should have done his research on the real Cruz.
It’s very simple, neoconservatives claimed the conservative mantel but many of their policies have failed. People want common sense conservative views and candidates. Trump came along and gave these people a voice. Is Trump perfect, far from it, but he is miles better than Hillary and many who ran against him on the Republican side. Americans want a level playing field in trade, immigration, economics, and government. The people are speaking and the political parties and elite better start listening.
Well said, Scott.
Michael Medved will NEVER be listened to again by us! Love your article, but he definitely should have made this list!! All his show is now is one long rant against Trump! You would think that he was a liberal, the way he talks!
Malisa, I agree with you. In hindsight, it should have been “6 stooges.” Thank you for the comment!
I told all my conservative friends that Erick was the guy that seemed to have it right, I would get up in the morning and read his reports. Then along came the anti-Trump. It was shameful, and I was not a big Trump fan at that time. In fact I was leaning towards Cruz, but had not made up my mind yet. Well the more Erick called Trump names, the more respect I lost for Erick. So for me it was not that he was not for Trump, it was how he used his show and articles to slam Trump. No longer did he write about the other things that was going on in the world, thus helping us stay informed, he just pissed and moaned about Trump. He took the low road. It would have been better had he told us about the others and why we should vote for them. The real story, not the media lines…oh wait, these guys are the media.
Jerry, this is a really interesting post and your experience mimics a lot of the same thoughts and feelings I have heard from others. One friend of mine who was not on the Trump Train, said to me once, “If these idiots keep bashing Trump I’m gonna end up supporting him.” I asked him why that was and he said that he can appreciate constructive criticism but what he was hearing from media and NeverTrump was just a lot of sophomoric angst. Anyway, he’s on the Trump Train now – but for deeper reasons like immigration, economy, and trade. Thanks for the post!
You folks should give a listen to
Thayrone X on WAAM 1600!
Listen on line with tune in radio or the WAAM web!
He’s on at 3pm Michigan time 2 Chicago!
[…] There was a time when people like Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and Erick Erickson were powerful voices within the Conservative movement. That was BT or “Before Trump,” when most American Conservatives were asleep at the wheel and operating on status quo neo-conservative autopilot, completely unaware that the maverick radio voices we hailed as rebels, were actually globalist shills-for-hire. The silent majority was silent because we were napping, however, Trump has awakened the slumbering giant and we’re hip to the globalist trick played upon us by so-called radio conservatives, politicians, media, and pundits, who subtly pepper falsehoods like, amnesty is good, trade … […]
Good article. However, one point I would like to address: “The silent majority was silent because we were napping, however, Trump has awakened the slumbering giant[.]”
Many of us were awake. Trump may have awakened more of us, but we were awake. We supported Ron Paul, for starters. But Trump did give us a voice. Trump understood what the silent majority was upset about, and he gave it a voice.
A lot of these Conservative Talk Show Hosts remind me of when Obama first ran, a couple of very Conservative talk show hosts in LA actually said they dislike McCain so much they voted for Obama. I believe their names were Al Rantel and Doug McIntyre. In fact I believe the situation caused a huge shake up at the radio station between Larry Elder and these two clowns that tried to sell themselves as conservatives.
Many Americans did not vote for Romney because he was a Mormon someone said 4 million I didn’t believe it until I met a missionary who said he and his wife did not vote because he was not a Christian hence he had another four years of a communist dictator so if you feel that you can be a neverTrump welcome to the four years of another communist dictator for you Christians look to Jesus chose for his 12 disciples look at the backgrounds
Can we assume for one minute, that most of us in the politically involved, aware, active arena. Are on the same page and agree we have been made very aware that the NWO is real. That most of the chaos, and backwards priority’s, removing of Jesus from almost anywhere today’s youth will be subject to it. The homosexual not LGBT. The homosexual immoral left. Non apologetically infecting every walk of life. Along with the LGBT down our throats every dayholding them up as if some sort of hero. I’m not even coming from the huge anti- homosexual view and stance I have personally. I’m speaking as the everyday Obama agenda for America. It is crumbling in front of our faces. What’s wrong is right and what’s right is wrong. Hillary. A clear proven Liar, Murder, Fraud and malice filled daughter of the devil. Can commit the acts she does. Some of us see them all . As big as a house. Yet other seemingly smart people are blind. I’m again assuming everyone interested at least can now sit back and say….This is for real. That being said. Knowing Ted Cruz’s Wife is one of the big players in the current NWO OUT FRONT PLAYERS, putting together the entire handbook on the BENIFITS of the Northern Alliance. You cannot be in the bed of the enemy any more than that. And as terrible of liar was Ted Cruz. Am I the only one who seen him as a threat to our freedom, that the incinserity, his ignorant but non chalant mouth offs. He reminded me of Satan in the body of one of his dummer diciples, playing sand lot dodge ball with Trump. That loser is so two faced its not funny. His words of action, were lies. Nothing he said he would have done. He is interwoven with his nasty demon of a wife. And if he would have ever won you would see more pleasing of George Soros and the rest of the NWO than Obama does. That all being digested, just humor me, does anybody else see that him and Beck , and some of these other scandalous , wealthy, possibly Elite, definitely Illuminati, were full of it all along. And we were duped. Well I wasn’t. I know Cruz was. As much as Clinton. The party lines are used for division, but Satan’s workers are all on same page. Dividing to conquer and confuse is a time honored tradition. My question I suppose is HOW DID THESE PEOPLE SAYING THEY THOUGHT CRUZ WIULD HAVE AND WIULD MAJE A BETTER PREZ. AND HOW IF NOW FOR TRUMP AND OBVIOUSKY NOT ON THE WRONG SIDE, WHY COULDNT THEY SEE HIS WIFES ROLE IN THIS. WHO WOULD PUT A BIG PLAYER OF THAT ALLIANCE IN THE WHITE HOUSE AND IN BED WITH OUR PRESIDENT. IM MESMERIZED BY SOME OF SATANS SMOKE AND MIRRORS. GOD BKESS DONALD TRUMP AND GOD BLESS THE USA
I am a long time friend of Hewitt. He has never been as far right as I am. I thought is question of Ben Carson was fair, but not one that I’d ask. Hugh would be a more Establishment talker. Hugh an I have our disagreements on air. We will never agree on the Browns vs. the Packers, but I know Hugh did not sell out his position. He came to it by reasoning. I disagree with it by my own reasoning. I have no portfolio with the Establishment, and wish to return a few knives from my back to them in kind with a truck load of Whoopass. “Bo Snerdley” would remember me from his Talk Spot days, too.
I will postpone the exclamation mark accolades a while where I want to observe the course of events going forward with Levine & Hewitt, both of whom individually have shown massively more intellectual acumen than the others in aggregate. Nevertheless, this was a cogent, intriguing & informative piece well worth reading in the first place and analyzing in the second. Appreciated.
As I do not read all the political commentary sites I listen to talk radio as I work or drive.
First, I like Laura Ingraham here at 6-9 in San Diego. I do not need screamers when I am having my first cup of coffee. I only wish she was on more stations.
Rush’s first 30 minutes of commentary about where we are today is outstanding. Can turn him off after that and usually do.
Haven’t listened to Medved in an year. You just know he is a liberal. However read his movie reviews as they are usually right on.
Hewitt is another flaming liberal. Can’t hurt my ears or brain by listening to him. My fantasy radio network is more conservative than him.
Levin has grown old and unlistenable. Back to my fantasy baseball network.
The Stooges are like the MSM, they just didn’t or didn’t want to understand Trump, the American public and the power of social media that Trump controls. Better yet, no one controls Trump. He is his own man and a leader.
Bravo Amy Moreno, from another pug lover!
The one I’m most disappointed in is Mark Levin. How can a guy that is a lawyer, not understand that one merely needs to read the SCOTUS case law precedent found in Rogers v. Bellei to understand that Ted Cruz is not nor ever can be considered a “natural born ctizen” and hence: ineligible to hold the office of the POTUS?
Ted Cruz, as a constitutional scholar knows that he is ineligible, but put personal ambition and self interest ahead of the intentions of the founding fathers and plowed onward with his attempt to hold that office. At the very least he had to be aware that his eligibility would be called into question and haunt him more so than the last ineligible usurper who concealed the facts of his citizenship status.
You can not call your self a constitutional conservative, whilest ignoring the eligibility clause and the full weight of the meaning of “Naural Born Citizen.”
Add Alex Jones to the Trump Train as one of the good guys. He’s promoted Trump from the beginning as someone who understands what’s going on with globalism, and he has Roger Stone on his show frequently providing updates on the Trump campaign.
“Hugh Hewitt looks like a cross between Phil Donahue, George McFly, and Justin Beiber.”
It’s hours later and I’m still ROFL!
If the polls are honest, if the primaries truly reflect the wishes of real and legitimate Americans, and if the pollsters have any reasonable IQ score above that of a monkey, then the only sensible conclusion one can make from the above is that America is intellectually incapable of determining right from wrong, good from bad, and beautiful from ugly.
How can someone such as Hillary Clinton be considered as a leading candidate for President if America is sane? How can Obama be elected, then reelected, and remain in office with a 51% approval rating if this abomination truly reflects the values of our people?
Donald Trump is supported by those who have absolutely had enough of politicians and their asinine parties. But is that really enough to make any difference at all? One can only hope.
Trump is a business man. Not a politician. In addition he is fundamentally honest. He doesn’t lie. He tells it like it is and to hell with the consequences. Even when wrong he is honest about it.
Trump is the only hope, humanly, for this Nation.
We shall see. My opinion.
Great article! Keep them coming!
