A Cruz-friendly fundraising PAC previously known as the “Keep the Promise” has been converted to “Defeat Crooked Hillary PAC.”  They will work to soften the “burn” for those conservative donors who are still reluctant to support Trump, but realize they must in order to defeat Hillary. “It will focus completely on attacking Clinton,” said one participant of the PAC.  The PAC is being established by Robert Mercer, a GOP “mega-donor” who was a Cruz backer.
