Suspected Islamic Extremist Kills 20 at Florida Gay Club ‘Wearing a Suicide Vest’

The Daily Mail is reporting that the suspected Islamic extremist who killed approximately 20 people after taking club-goers hostage inside a gay nightclub in Orlando has been identified as Omar Mateen, born to Afghan parents, he’s a US citizen from Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Orlando Police Chief John Mina said authorities have not determined the exact number of people killed, but that ‘approximately 20’ have died. Another 42 people were taken to the hospital, some in critical condition.
An FBI spokesman said the mass shooting is being investigated as an act of terrorism.
Sources are reporting that Mateen may have been on some sort of terror watch list and had possibly been monitored in some way regarding radicalization by authorities.
Mateen was shot dead by officers.

He was wearing a suicide vest and used the gun instead? This IS a terror attack. It has nothing to do with the gun. If this guy had known that everyone in the place had a gun, he wouldn’t have bothered. He wanted to make the news in his brotherhood. And they are proud…

Obama and anyone that thinks making guns illegal will stop things like this from happening is an idiot, you could shut down every gun factory in the USA, put the death penalty on having a gun and still they will pay a machinist to make them, smuggle them in from other countries or obtain them on the black market, only a fool would believe making guns harder to get or illegal would make any more of a difference than making drugs illegal stopped people from obtaining drugs and using them.
