Social Media Cracks Down on ISIS – Twitter Suspends 235 Thousand Terror-Related Accounts
Twitter is “cracking down” on terror and they have suspended some 235 thousand accounts over the past six months.
These accounts have been linked to some form of terror, either recruiting or spreading propaganda by ISIS and other terror groups.
NEW: Twitter has suspended 235,000 accounts for threatening or promoting terror in past 6 months; has suspended 360,000 total since mid-2015

On a related note, it seems several Trump supporters may have been “accidently” flagged in the suspension-melee.
Wink, wink.
The Obama Administration has worked closely with Silicon Valley in order to create a way in which to track these types of accounts.
Twitter claims that it’s difficult to track because these terror-related accounts do not have a unique algorithm they can follow.
Twitter also announced they’re working with foreign countries regarding this initiative, which has raised some eyebrows since many of these countries are in the Middle East and are infamous “free speech assassins.”
On the flip side, some experts say that these “terror” accounts make it easier for authorities to track and follow what’s happening within the jihad and gather more intelligence for the “bigger war.”
