Radical Leftist Writer for Salon Calls Violent San Jose Rioters “Brave”
Radical leftist tabloid Salon thinks Trump supporters deserved the unprovoked attacks they received from violent rioters, some of who were cited as gang members.
In his latest “opposite world” social justice warrior propaganda piece, in Hillary-esque form, Chauncey Devega argues that the concept that Trump supporters were victims is actually just a right wing news distortion and Trump supporters should instead just stop whining over a couple thrown eggs.
Devega writes
Trump is a political arsonist. He and his supporters have no moral high ground upon which to stand as they complain about being burned by the fires that they themselves have set in San Jose and elsewhere.
Thrown eggs are not bullets. Despite what Fox News and the right-wing media will suggest in the days and weeks to come, Donald Trump and his supporters are neither victims nor martyrs. They are bullies who delight in taunting the weak and the vulnerable. And like almost all bullies they summon up crocodile tears of victimhood and pain when someone is brave enough to confront them.
There is one major problem with DeVega’s “liberal fantasy world” characterization – namely, it is completely unrelated to reality. The San Jose anti-Trump riots were so violent and obviously unprovoked, even some of the most liberal reporters had no choice to to assign the blame properly.
Case in point – Tom Llamas, the well known Hispanic amnesty activist who was insulted by the term “anchor baby.” Tom would be literally the last person you would expect to defend Trump supporters but he had no choice but to report the event accurately.
When former Clinton employee and Hillary Shill George Stephanopoulos referred to the San Jose unrest as “clashes” in his intro. Llamas corrected him.
“These weren’t clashes. They were pure attacks. Trump supporters, men, women, even the elderly walked out of this building and walked right into danger.”
“Now there were some peaceful demonstrators last night,” Llamas allowed. “But many of the people we saw were young men and young women who came here to do one thing: throw punches. And on more than one occasion, we did see young people throwing up gang signs in those mobs of protesters.”
What do you think of Chauncey Devega defending thugs, gangsters and blaming victims of violence because of which candidate they support?
