Officer Jay Stalien is an African-American police officer from Palm Beach County, Florida. Jay grew up in the Brooklyn “hood,” where drug addicts lined the lobby of his apartment building. As a boy, he recalls being awakened at night by the sound of gunfire – that was “normal” life for Jay. Growing up, Stalien always knew he wanted to be a cop. He wanted to make a difference.
