Olympic Opening Ceremony : CNN ANCHOR DIVERSITY-SHAMED MICHAEL PHELPS
CNN host, W. Kamau Bell, wrote an “open letter” to Michael Phelps, pleading with the Olympian to allow a Muslim to carry the American flag during the Olympic opening ceremonies.
Phelps is the most decorated Olympian of all time with 18 gold medals and 22 medals in total.
Gee, if only he wasn’t a damn white guy…..
Part of the letter:
“What I’m trying to say is that as far as America is concerned, you are a golden boy … literally. You getting the opportunity to carry the flag is like Michael Jordan getting a free pair of Nike sneakers.
You are both the living embodiment of the “honor” you are getting.
To put it another way, in the Make-Your-Own-Ice-Cream-Sundae-Bar of life, your sundae is lousy with hot fudge, butterscotch, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, nuts, sprinkles, extra scoops of ice cream, and so many Maraschino cherries that 5-year-old kids with mouthfuls of Maraschino cherries yell as you pass by, “THAT’S TOO MANY CHERRIES!”

This is a world sporting event where all races and religions come together to enjoy the thrill of pure sport. This is not the venue for making political statements. Michael was voted in by his fellow Olympians which numbered over 500 athletes for the honor of leading the team into the Olympics. CNN and the rest of the media are already doing their best to control the current elections but, there is no place for them at the Olympics. I for one would like to enjoy the Olympics without having to listen to any more media bs.
If I was Michael Phelps I would have had her help me carry the flag, together we are stronger. But, with her hateful rhetoric about the U.S. Micheal Phelps made the only correct choice. Why was she even competing on the U.S.A. team? Seems like she should have competed for a Muslin country where she would be treated like she wants to be. So let me get this straight. Phelps with 20+ gold medals should give up the honor of carrying the flag for a first-time Olympian who lost in her first contest ….. simply because she’s a Muslim? All she’s done is bad mouth the U.S. and probably would have drug the flag around the track.
