Oklahoma’s “Pledge of Allegiance” Bill Just Passed the House!
A bill requiring Oklahoma students to recite the Pledge of Allegiance daily has passed through the House. From KTUL HB 2277, authored by State Rep. Terry O’Donnell, requires Oklahoma students to recited the pledge once a day instead of the now required once a week. The statute also authorizes and exemption for students “who do not wish to participate” in accordance with federal law.
