Shocking.

Tuesday morning a 12-year-veteran of the DC transit police force was arrested for assisting ISIS.

The officer was attempting to purchase technology equipment to help ISIS hide communication efforts.

The 36-year-old officer is  Nicholas Young.

He believed he was working with ISIS operatives, however, in reality, he was working with FBI informants, who had him on their “radar” for six years.

FBI officials first interviewed Young in September 2010 when his friend, Zachary Chesser, was arrested for providing support to ISIS.

Officials say there is “no pending threat to the D.C. transportation system.”

Young faces 20 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
