LIVING IN OBLIVION – 61 Speakers at the DNC Day One and ISIS Mentioned ZERO TIMES

This pretty much sums up how liberals love living in total oblivion. The democrats are the party of adults still stuck in a utopian world of care bears and my little ponies … where ISIS does not exist.

The only problem with this fantastic world they live in is it is fully imaginary and has nothing to do with reality.

Speakers on the opening night of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) made no reference to the Islamic State, despite a startling succession of ISIS-inspired lone wolf attacks throughout Europe.

A review of C-SPAN closed captioning found no speaker made reference to “ISIS,” “terrorism,” or “terrorists.”

Sixty-one speakers addressed the convention last night, including actress Eva Longoria, comedian Sarah Silverman and musician Paul Simon, whose performance was widely panned by the convention’s television audience. First lady Michelle Obama, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s vanquished rival Sen. Bernie Sanders also addressed delegates. Though each urged a recommitment to the work of economic justice and protecting children, none made more than oblique reference to terrorism.

Topics addressed by speakers included “Keeping Families Together,” an effort to show solidarity with immigrants and push comprehensive immigration reform, and “Ensuring Equality,” a canticle to the virtue of diversity.

Hours after the DNC adjourned for the evening, two Islamist knifemen stormed a Catholic church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray near Rouen, France, during mass, beheaded the parish’s 86-year-old priest, Fr. Jacques Hamel, and took worshipers hostage. French police killed the assailants when they emerged from the church. One worshiper, a nun, was rushed to a local hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
