Liberal who took to Facebook, Attacking Gatlinburg Fire Victims as “Trump-suckin’ Pond Scum” Has Been Fired
Self-proclaimed “liberal elitist” Coleman Bonner took to Facebook to express his mentally unstable hatred for the fire victims in Gatlinburg.
Coleman, who looks like he should cut back on the Mountain Dew himself, went on an emotionally unstable tirade, attacking fire victims as “Mouth-breathing, Mountain Dew-chugging, Trump-suckin’ pond scum.”
After reading his post, people contacted Bonner’s workplace listed on his Facebook account.

We’re happy to report that this cruel and heartless creep was fired from his job.

Facebook link.
Good riddance, to another hateful, intolerant, and judgemental liberal.

That’s him in the picture? How’s a deformity like him have any relevance when it comes to judging others?
Yes, that is him in the photo.
There are millions more like it out here amongst us humans. They ALL need to be fired and removed from any government benefits programs, for life. They do nothing, they contribute nothing. They are takers and haters inside the gate, just awaiting the next chance to do some filthy deed to destroy what others work so hard to build. Is there any question in anyone’s mind, why Trump won? This piece of crap and the others like it, are it.
You are so spot on correct! Thanks for posting….
What ever happened to the first amendmant?bs people are intitled to their own beleifs whether we agree or not.Go ahead punish him for what he said and kiss one more american right good by and in 20 yrs ask where the diversity in this nation went.I dont agree with what he said either but he is still entitled to his right and freedom of expression
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances
This is the First Amendment, it’s about how the Congress can’t make a law abridging freedom of speech, it has nothing to do with someone being held accountable for their comments by the people who employ him nor the by the people who would do business with the people who employ him. The First Amendment is a restraint on the government not on the citizens.
Your speech is protected, Russell. You are not, however, protected from the consequences that arise from said speech.
I agree with 1st Amendment rights. But if this man said something to the effect of uppity nword, would that be grounds for dismissal? Anyone spouting hateful things can be fired for fear of reprisals from customers. That does not stop his 1st amnd. rights. Just as we all can either associate or disassociate from hateful people.
He had a right to say it and people hadn’t a right to respond.
He has freedom of expression, but not freedom from consequences of that expression.
The first amendment protects him from government censorship only. His private employer is free to take issue with his speech and fire him for it. The first amendment does not protect you from the consequences of your speech. I sure wish people would learn this.
He has the right to say what he wants.
People have the right to not like that he says, tell his boss, “We are exercising our 1st Amendment rights by informing you we’re not shopping at your place of business anymore because he exercised his 1st Amendment rights and offended us.”
His boss has the right to fire him for hurting his business by exercising his 1st Amendment rights.
We have the right to say what we want to say.
But we do not control the consequences for exercising that right.
Justice Marshall said you have the right to swing your elbows in any direction you want. But if in doing so you strike someone on the nose. Your rights to do so are now null an void. In other words he has the right to be stupid but if his stupid comments hurts someone undeserving there are consequences. These people had already been hurt enough. So time he got back a little reality.
This has absolutely nothing to do with diversity! He deserved to be fired. It’s called Karma.
He brought it upon himself by posting his employer’s name on social media like a dumb ass. Unless you’re using Facebook/Twitter/Etc for business (in which case you need to act professionally), you shouldn’t idiotic remarks attacking people. I wouldn’t even post THIS comment while representing an employer, much less what he posted.
Yes, he is protected by the constitution for free speech, but that protection has nothing to do with whether the company he works for wants him around. He can say whatever, and they are free to employ whoever…
The people who responded simply exercised their free speech and let the establishment know they don’t do business with dirt bag liberals…
WORKS BOTH WAYS ASSHOLE !
If I walk up to my boss and tell him “f*ck you”, can I claim 1st Amendment protectoin when he swiftly fires my ass? No.
Slander is not a right. Neither is rioting or destruction of other peoples property. Who cares who the people of Tennessee voted for. So many of them lost everything. A little sympathy goes a long way. Y’all can rant about this idiots rights & I will wish the people of Tennessee the best of luck.
He is also entitled to the repercussions of his actions
I believe in freedom of speech also, but it should not mean that it gives a person the right to be a mean and nasty person. People died in those fires and lost everything they had. If being a diversified nation means you no longer have empathy for people who just went through the worst experience of their life then it would be refreshing to wake up some day and have it gone. The things he said were horrible words, if he had nothing nice to say then shouldn’t have said anything. People really need to relearn respect. This ” freedom of speech sh*t has gotten way out of hand”.
He is entitled to his opinion, his employer also has the right to fire him since he listed their company on the same page in which he chose to share his hatred and bigotry!
Beware the words you speak
Keep them soft and sweet
For someday you never know
WHICH ONES YOULL HAVE TO EAT
I was taught this as a child by my dad.
I don’t like what he said at all and I find him revolting. But to get a man fired from his job is wrong I don’t see that helping anything except the people who wrote the letter. And what did you gain by it. Lets see we didn’t like what he said so let’s make him lose his job. Did any of you think he may have a family that needed that money to feed them. People say many things on social media that cause harm to some. He must have alot of anger built up and took it as an opportunity to rant. Its his right no matter how wrong. Remember God says turn the other cheek. So I will say a prayer for all the people who have had many horrible things happen the past week with fire and storms. And pray that the man find peace within himself.
His boss was looking at a major backlash that could have ruined his business.
He may well have ‘turned the other cheek’ but that doesn’t necessarily stop consequences.
“I forgive you for ruining my business. But now I don’t need you as an employee because keeping you would mean the end of my family’s income and the end of dozens of jobs for people who don’t embarrass us like you have. God speed.”
I don’t think he would have been fired if he had used his own profile picture or an avatar. He posted that nasty remark and used his employer’s logo as his avatar. He shouldn’t have done that at all.
People with a family to feed should not make hateful comments about others dealing with losing everything simply because he lumps them all in as Trump voters. Maybe now he will be taught humility, which is a trait all of us could use a little more of! Most people with empathy donate to people who have suffered this kind of disaster. They don’t post online comments wishing the disaster was more widespread!
This man is sick. Maybe now he’ll see that and seek professional help. Firing may be the best thing for him! I hope he has a very merry Christmas as he reads the many Facebook responses chuckling at his getting fired! They have that right ….
“Did any of you think he may have a family that needed that money to feed them”! Well if he did, he should have thought of them first before going on a rant, recording it and then posting it. Stupid is as stupid does! You have every right to say what you want, but you better be ready to pay the consequences for what you say.
I’m glad he got fired. Asshole.
He looks like a real winner! What a jerk to not have pity on fire victims! He’s the scum! Trump won people! GET OVER IT!
Don’t get me wrong, that guy’s comments were despicable, but that is exactly why I do not post my current employers on social media.
Yes we all have free speech HOWEVER his employer likewise has that same right and they choose not to have someone like this idiot representing their business. There is such a thing as decency in this world, while it is at an all time low, I do sincerely hope it makes a come back. He would have been better off keeping his opinions to himself especially when people died. He got himself fired
These liberals always talk about hate speech when someone does not agree with them, yet they are the biggest hypocrites of all time when they give out hate speech. What this man said was very hateful towards people who are suffering.
Trolling for thumbs up or down. Ranting. Somebody just got elected exhibiting similar behavior and this guy gets fired. What a world. SMH
This behavior, that is, HIS behavior, is simply despicable. The so-called pond scum would be the first to help out a neighbor or someone else in need – while this “liberal elitist” sits back, laughs, and does nothing but brag about it on social media. Disgusting. When did we cease to become human beings? People lost their HOMES, their POSSESSIONS, and we think this is FUNNY? It wouldn’t be so funny if it were you now would it Mr. “liberal elitist”?
