Lame Duck Obama goes back to Playing the Race Card

The history of the United States is filled with great moments and not so great moments. We’ve been through, or read about, the triumphs of winning two world wars, the ending of slavery, and the combining of the country in extremely difficult times.

However as great as those accomplishments are, some people love to look at what caused them and believe that they are still happening today. For some reason, liberals are more than willing to say that slavery and racism is still around, despite the fact that it was abolished over 150 years ago.

It’s enough to make you wonder where they get the nerve to tell people these types of things. When you learn that President Obama is the one that is making these statements as well, it’s a little more understandable on why liberals are so keen on saying what they want to say.

Obama appeared on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and was asked about how he differs from speaking his mind and sharing “true opinions” on race. In true Obama fashion, he decided to claim that the United States still hasn’t gotten over its legacies of slavery, Jim Crow, and colonialism.

“…But, that it is not the only factor in so many aspects of our lives, that we have, by no means overcome the legacies of slavery and Jim Crow and colonialism and racism, but that the progress we’ve made has been real and extraordinary – if I’m communicating my genuine belief that those who are not subject to racism can sometimes have blind spots or lack of appreciation of what it feels to be on the receiving end of that, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not open to learning and caring about equality and justice and that I can win them over because there is good ness in the majority of people.”

It’s like Obama doesn’t understand that slavery ended over 150 years ago. The United States ratified the 13th Amendment way back in 1863. It has literally been 153 years since blacks were actually slaves in this country. The only reason that it is still talked about today is to ensure that it never happens again!

Except liberals seem to think that slavery is still occurring today. That is why they constantly bring it up in order to make white people feel guilty about it. So according to a liberal, we have to feel guilty about what our ancestors did even though we were never a part of it?

Again, slavery hasn’t existed for 150 years. There is literally nobody alive that can say that they were slaves. Not to mention that the Jim Crow laws haven’t been used in decades. So that is two points that Obama has gone on about that don’t exactly exist today.

The only people that claim that slavery and anti-black sentiment still exists today are the Black Lives Matter movement. They are so involved with their message that institutional racism exists that Obama felt the need to say it does. He said that while the “overt Klansman-style racism” doesn’t really exist anymore, it’s other things that show that racism is evident.

Obama went on in his appearance. “So there have been very few instances where I’ve said, ‘Well, that was racist, you are racist.’ There have been times where I’ve said, ‘You know, you might not have taken into account the ongoing legacy of racism in why we have so many black men incarcerated. And since I know that you believe in the Constitution and believe in justice and believe in liberty, how about if we try this?’”

Except the only racism that you hear about is when people in the Black Lives Matter community claim that something is racist. This “something” could be anything from a shirt to even supporting police officers. That is when they claim something is racist. However that isn’t what Obama claims is racist.

“It’s somebody not getting called back for an interview, although it’s never explicit. Or it’s, you know, who gets the TV acting job, the actress who doesn’t quite look the part, and what does that mean? And in that environment, where you’re not talking necessarily about cut and dried racist behavior, but rather about the complex way sin which society is working these issues through, you know – trying to reach folks in ways that they can hear, I think, is important.”

So you’re saying that because someone didn’t get an interview that person is racist? Yes that is EXACTLY what he is saying. You know another reason that you didn’t get called back for an interview? It’s because you weren’t qualified for the part! The liberals literally believe that this is a form of racism.

You know what is really ironic about this whole issue? It’s the fact that race relations have gotten worse UNDER Obama! The Black Lives Matter group, which is a racist group in itself, claims that every white cop that does their job is racist. That is literally the opposite of being helpful!

This is the same group that was calling for revenge because a white officer was set free in a court case. Just because they didn’t get what they asked for, which was getting the cop arrested and fired for doing his job, they called for revenge. Their form of revenge is limited to rioting and looting. You really think I want to listen to a group that calls for revenge because they didn’t get what they wanted?

Then again, hearing Obama claim that not getting a callback is a form of racism isn’t anything new. This is the same president that changed some rules around to make it so that speaking English at your job was against the law. Yes, he put in a law mandating that people who require their employees speak English, to understand a majority of America, is now labeled harassment. Good luck trying to order something from a fast-food joint.

Despite the fact that slavery and that type of racist behavior hasn’t existed in decades, Obama claims that not getting a call back is a form of racism. Liberals are quick to say anything is racist, and that is because of the leadership Obama has had for the past eight years.
