Back in October of 2015, The Associated Press reported that “Hillary Clinton’s private email server maintained in her home was possibly hacked by Russia-tied authorities, and others, on five separate occasions.” This is precisely why government officials are required to maintain their emails on government servers, not stuffed into hall closets inside their homes. The AP report went on to note that investigators discovered malicious software on Clinton’s server aimed at transmitting data to three overseas computers, including at least one in Russia.
