ORLANDO SHOOTER THREATENED TO SHOOT CLASSMATE OVER PORK TOUCHING BURGER

Conservative Tribune Reports

Like most Muslims, Orlando shooter Omar Mateen hated pork. Unlike his peers, however, his hatred ran so deep that he once threatened to shoot his classmates during a cookout at Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, Florida, because his hamburger had accidentally touched some pork.

Susanne Coburn Laforest, a former classmate of Mateen, explained to The Wall Street Journal that he “flipped out,” demanded that people stop laughing at him and then promised “he was going to come back and shoot us.”

But this was certainly not the first time Mateen acted out in strange and disturbing ways while studying at the academy.

He once had his car raided after he brought a firearm to campus. He also repeatedly made statements insinuating that massacres like the one that happened at Virginia Tech in 2007 “could happen here in the academy.”

According to witnesses, all the threats he made during his time at the academy were tied directly to his identity as a Muslim, as he felt that his classmates were picking on him for it, though they have denied these accusations.

Writing for Breitbart, contributor Frances Martel accurately noted that these stories confirmed that Mateen was an “unstable, violent” man who felt the continual need to assert “his victimhood as a Muslim.” He basically suffered from a victim complex.

And sadly, that complex eventually manifested itself in the Orlando massacre early Sunday morning, when he gunned down 49 men and women at a gay nightclub.

Here’s the thing, though — this could have been prevented. There were so many signs. Even Mateen’s former co-workers saw them. Take for instance co-worker Daniel Gilroy, who quit his job after his concerns about Mateen’s threatening and inflammatory statements concerning blacks, Jews and other target groups were repeatedly ignored.

Mateen also reportedly cheered after the Sept. 11 attacks.

“He was making plane noises on the bus, acting like he was running into a building,” classmate Robert Zirkle said. that was 15 years ago.

Practically everyone knew that the guy was a radical Islamist, but they did nothing. Why?
