Earlier today we reported the idiot Mayor of San Jose, Sam Liccardo caused disbelief by blaming Trump for the violent San Jose Anti-Trump Riots that left some Trump supporters injured and bloodied.
“At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign,” Mayor Sam Liccardo told the Associated Press, praising the city’s police while adding that “we’re all still holding our breath to see the outcome of this dangerous and explosive situation.”
After an entire day of getting abused on Social Media by angry Trump supporters and having nearly nobody come to his defense, the Idiot mayor attempted to backtrack a bit. However he could not help but throw in one more jab at Trump which infuriated the majority even more.

After the rioters had finished attacking peaceful Trump supporters, the chief of police said that they had to “hold the line” and didn’t see any reason to break the line as there was no real concern. Not ALL cities. I was at #trump2016 rally in San Diego (Republican Mayor) and there were about 1000 shitbag protesters. They were kept penned up like the swine they are. I want to know why the United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch hasn’t announced an investigation into your actions and violations of the civil rights of those victims. She certainly should uphold the duties of her office and have the Justice Dept climbing down your throat immediately. I moved from San Jose to AZ two years ago because the quality of living had gotten so bad. The city has had massive police layoffs over the years. The cops that are left are so demoralized and hate their jobs. Crime has risen dramatically in the city. For instance, the burglary unit was cut down to 3 officers. They made a very public announcement stating that if your home, car or property is broken into and/or stolen, don’t bother calling 911, they won’t come. They recommended that residents file a police report and start looking for their belongings on Craigslist…..no joke. They said that they will only come out if someone’s life was in imminent danger. This was an infomercial to all criminals, telling them to come and get it. They became so brazen in their breaki-ins, that they would walk right up to your home in the middle of the day, make sure no one was home and throw a garbage can through the front window. They’d come in and walk right back out through the front door, carrying your possessions. This literally happened a few doors down from me. My friend’s home was broken into three times….middle of the day. The only way she got the cops to come out was by telling them one of her guns was stolen. You’d think I’d lived in a bad part of town, but I did not. This was a nice, middle class neighborhood.
The gang problem has soared in SJ in the last ten years. It has infiltrated every neighborhood and every school. Just watching everything that went on last night, I could tell immediately that the majority of the violent behavior was coming from gang bangers. These idiot kids had no political motivation, whatsoever…..and make no mistake, the SJPD knows how to handle these assholes. There are plenty of other occasions where there is plenty of police presence and calm is kept. This time they were told to stand down. The Trump supporters were intentionally set up by the mayor to have to walk a gauntlet of gang violence.
I happened to be there last week and attended a graduation at the same convention center. I was shocked to see the ridiculous route they sent everyone on just to get back to the garage. Another thing I don’t understand is why they held the rally in a side building….that doesn’t have air conditioning, mind you, and it was a hot day there. If the event had been held inside the actual convention center, this all would have avoided because the parking garage is attached to the center. Attendees of the rally would never have had to go outside. In the 30+ years I lived in SJ, I’ve never seen an event held in the side building. I believe this had to be intentional on the city’s part…..trying to make it as difficult as possible for Trump and his supporters.

I think there should be an investigation to see if the mayor instructed the police to stand down during these riots. If not, the police should pay a penalty for their non action. If it is proven that the mayor did order a stand down, he should be held accountable by losing his position and even sued for standing by and watching his citizens being brutality assaulted

I am honestly amazed at the police. Of all the different political groups out there, I would say that Trump supporters represent the group that is the most pro-law enforcement. Mr Trump is ALWAYS praising and thanking the police at rallies, and events. For the most part, those on the left, Black Lives Matter, etc are waging a war against the police so that is why I am flabbergasted that the police would not step in and, at a minimum, do their jobs when Trump supporters are being assaulted.

As a retired Police Officer I am appalled at the lack of proper police action taken at the riots and what was permitted namely the attacks on innocent people. Its time for leadership at SJPD to resign. As a Trump supporter, I was there, in San Jose, attending the Trump event on June 2.
The Trump event attendees were forced to walk past the protesters afterward, after the event was over, to get to their cars. Broad areas of sidewalks and streets, that were not blockaded before the event started, were blockaded by barriers after the event ended, and standing in front of those barriers were lines of individual police officers telling Trump event attendees what route to follow to get to their vehicles.
I had parked in a parking garage right next door to the event. Before the event, an easy walk to the event, after event over, had to square 4 blocks of sidewalk lined with protesters who somehow knew the exact route that Trump supporters/event attendees had to walk, and were waiting for them.
Frankly, it was pretty obvious that either law enforcement personnel or the mayors office, someone in the know, had told the protesters where the Trump supporters would be forced to walk after the event. Attendees only went where law enforcement officers told them to go in order to get to our cars. We followed their instructions. The protesters knew, seemed well informed, of the direction where Trump supporters were going to be heading even before we exited the event, and protesters lined that walking route as a result, literally laying in wait where no law enforcement was present.
There was an intent to force the supporters and protesters together. There was no intent to keep them apart.
Trump supporters exiting the event were literally set up like rats in a maze, forced to follow a prescribed set of boundaries, which led directly to the protesters and not away from them.
The press got their story but the clash was completely avoidable. It was created by intention and by design.
The San Jose mayor should be sued by all those assaulted at the Trump rally, due his order to the police to stand down and not arrest the criminal thugs. Actually, the mayor should be charged for obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting criminal activity!

Could someone with legal knowledge confirm this for me?: If a victim of assault, vandalism, or theft at these rallies went to the police to file charges and have the perpetrator(s) arrested, can the police refuse him/her?
If a police officer saw assault, vandalism, and/or theft, isn’t it his/her duty to arrest the perpetrator on the spot? If the police officer did so, even against the mandate for political purposes of the police chief and/or mayor, would he/she be subject to reprimand or dismissal?
Does the police officer take an oath to protect innocent victims and to apprehend criminals? Does this oath supercede political motivations of his/her supervisors?
i couldn’t say for sure one way or the other but, no matter what that officer or officers should be able to do something and yet do it with or without going to the mayor for permission…just under common decency. However i do believe under those circumstances i do believe they should be able to act.

No, the police (at least in my experience and employment) can’t refuse to take a crime report under those circumstances. If a PO witnesses a crime, while it may be their duty under normal circumstances to attempt an arrest, if your are in a skirmish line formation at a large demonstration, you do not, on your own, break rank and charge into the crowd to arrest some protester throwing a rock. It all depends on circumstances at the time. There are units assigned at these demonstrations taking stills an videos of those that commit the crimes, and it makes more sense to try to get them later rather than risk a crowd breaking the skirmish line. It ain’t an easy job…it’s tough and thankless. I’ve done it, and I have nothing but respect for those that have to do it now with every sob filming everything you do.
He should cover the cost of damages and hospital bills from his own pocket.

it’s funny, i go to the Trump rally today in Redding, CA. not one single incident occurred there and trump’s supports or Trump himself… why is that you ask? We, up here in the north state have respect for other people. There was law enforcement there and a couple of ambulances standing by but no one cause a problem today. It was a very enjoyable day. MY congressman and others to from the north state were there in attendance too. Its most likely that unless Trump goes the way of Vince Foster, he will be our elected president…Once in office, when and if he calls for a boycott, there will be boycotts like nobody has ever seen… once he starts endorsing candidates on the local and governmental levels his followers will vote accordingly. I am the former Mayor of a Southern California community and if the police and or their Chief in my town EVER stood by and allowed this to happen in my community no matter WHO was speaking, I would remind them of the oath they took before putting on that badge and then I would send them packing to some piece of crap liberal s**t hole like San Jose where they could find a home working for a worthless politician like you, Mr Mayor. 2. He will be fired.
3. A lawsuit against the mayor, the police chief and the city will be done. As sure as the sky is above us. You can bet that somebody will file lawsuit. The only question is: will some individuals sue (meaning 7-8-12 lawsuits?) or will they get together and file one lawsuit? But lawsuit(s) will be filed. Count on it.
