HYPOCRITE BUSTED – Anti-Gun Senator Arrested…..WITH A LOADED GUN
With all the talk of Gun Control, here is a blast from the past we’ll never forget.
Guess who got arrested Monday night after she refused to get up off the ground out in the middle of the road in front of the Ferguson Police Department?
And not only arrested, but arrested while her breath reportedly reeked of alcohol and she just so happened to be carrying a fully loaded 9mm with extra ammo?
Why none other than Anti-gun Missouri Senator Jamilah Nasheed (D-St. Louis), who has herself sponsored multiple gun control bills.
“Sen. Nasheed, along with another male, entered the street, were told numerous times by not only by the St. Louis County commander, but other officers on scene, that they needed to leave the street or they were subject to arrest,” St. Louis County Police Sgt. Brian Schellman said. “They failed to comply, and they were taken into custody.”
Here she is below chanting in the street in protest of the Michael Brown shooting — which the autopsy has now revealed happened after Brown went for Police Officer Darren Wilson’s gun — prior to her arrest. Police gave the Senator and her companion numerous warnings to get out of the street and back on the sidewalk before they arrested her but she refused to budge.
According to police accounts, Sen. Nasheed reeked of intoxicants, and upon booking and being formally charged with Failure to Obey Lawful Order of Police and Manner of Walking in the Roadway, she refused a breathalyzer. She has since commented that she was not drunk and that the whole thing was a “symbolic arrest”:
“It was a symbolic arrest – sending a message to the protesters that we can protest peacefully and that we must protest peacefully and that we want justice for Michael Brown, but we don’t want it in vain,” Nasheed said outside the jail Tuesday morning.

Then explain how Michael Brown’s blood was found in the driver’s side of the patrol car and his blood was on the gun? Remember, there were THREE different investigations and autopsies performed. All said the same thing.

Well, Sorry but Michael Brown got justice. And now we need more justice, this crap coming from a Senator, I say fire her or whatever it is you do to senators, get her out of office. She isn’t a fit leader for anyone, not even scum that crawls on the earth. Symbolic, I guess she expects it’ll all be swept under the rugs and she is black and a senator so most likely it will.

It’s not about being black or white as far as the Senator goes. STOP playing the race card people! ENOUGH already! It’s about her being a government official and acting the way she did in public. She has a right to her opinion on guns- but be woman enough to say and do the same thing! She has a right to drink- but not be intoxicated and breaking the law in a public place. She isn’t above the law! She should be treated just like any other person regardless of her color! The law is the law!
This was an arrest made on October 14, 2014, not in June of 2016. This is regurgitated news from a Trump-supporter source – not a new arrest. She was licensed to carry, so the gun was legal. I think she should have been charged with intoxication, but Ferguson police department does not seem to have pursued this charge. Investigate news before you react. The are many who would like to manipulate people for their own benefit (in this case campaign contributions). While I oppose anyone who would work to change my 2nd Amendment rights, I also am a supporter of honesty, and this article is flat out dishonest in characterizing an event as current that took place in 2014.
The gun was NOT legally carried. It’s against the law to carry while drinking/drunk.
It is illegal to be in possession/control of a firearm while intoxicated in any state… she should have been charged with weapons under disability (intoxication), public intoxication, aggravated disorderly conduct (drunk and not following a direct order) she should have gotten a felony and had prison yome. If they weren’t so bust playing nice and not wanting to offend people, she would have gotten her assistant handed to her!
Everyone knows this is old news but is still relevant in today’s anti-gun climate.

To the Editor of this Website: This is pretty old news and your story was totally wrong. This arrest was part of a protest in October 2014. And the charge? Blocking a street when a sidewalk was available. That’s not even a state statute. It’s a municipal charge. It went no where. The charge was dismissed. The headline is libelous too. Nasheed refused a breathalyzer test at the nearby St. Ann police station so you can’t write she was drunk because you don’t know. The state did not file charges against her. I am very familiar with the facts of this case and as a 1999 Edward R. Murrow Award winner for jounalism excellence who lives 5 miles from Ferguson and know many of the newsmakers there, I know more about this story on my worst day than this website does on their best day. I used to teach journalism. You get an F for this story.
And Scott gets an F for not following up on obvious questions: you don’t have to have a breathalyzer result to get an “under the influence” conviction. There are standard tests which the suspect is asked to perform. Even if those are refused, the observations of the officer can be used to determine state of intoxication. Was she asked to perform any of these tests? Not following up on this with a prosecution encourages lawlessness; the Ferguson police and DA’s are derelict in their duty.
