Haunting Final Facebook Post From Slain Baton Rouge Officer

A deadly shooting in Baton Rouge yesterday took the lives of three police officers and wounded three others.

The killer was Gavin Long, a hateful 29-year-old man who detested police and likened them to “British” revolutionary soldiers.

One of the officers killed was a 32-year-old new father, Montrell Jackson.

Montrell served on the Baton Rouge police force for 10 years and had a 4-month-old son.

Below is a screenshot of what is reportedly Jackson’s final Facebook post on July 8.

Nine days later, Jackson would die while protecting his city.
