GOP Official Platform Will Include The Trump Wall

Good news! The GOP’s official party platform will include Trump’s wall.

Fox News reported that the Republican platform committee included language calling for a border wall along the U.S. and Mexican border in the draft party platform, getting behind the cornerstone of Donald Trump’s campaign.

The group wrapped up drafting the plan Tuesday in Cleveland in advance of next week’s convention.

At which point the platform will be voted on by the 2,472 delegates.

The platform states that the “border wall” must cover “the entirety of the Southern Border and must be sufficient to stop both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.”

This measure was proposed by Trump supporter Kris Kobach, the secretary of state from Kansas.

“This is why we support building a wall along our southern border and protecting all ports of entry,” Kobach told Fox News. “The border wall must cover the entirety of the southern border and must be sufficient to stop both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.”
