FlashBack : Tim Kaine on Clinton/Lewinsky Scandal, “…Clinton Should Resign….”

Hillary Clinton and her VP pick, Tim Kaine are out of synch.

Recently Kaine fumbled during an interview as he tried desperately to excuse away Hillary’s email-scandal lies, before ultimately apologizing on her behalf.

Now there’s more trouble in paradise.

An old quote of Kaine’s has resurfaced from the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Kaine said that if the allegations against Bill Clinton were true (they were true), he should have resigned the presidency.

Whoopsie.

From Independent Journal Review:

The Democratic Senator from Virginia used to be the state’s Lieutenant Governor, which was rocked by a sex scandal in 2002.

As Betsy Woodruff of The Daily Beast has unearthed, Kaine had some not so kind words for cheating politicians. In a 2002 story she found in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Kaine was quoted as saying:

“If the allegations are true, he should definitely resign,” Kaine said, adding he held the same view about President Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal.

“That is an intolerable way to treat women and it’s not something that the state should be dragged through.”

Nice “vetting,” Hillary.
