Five Times Disgrace Lester Holt Shamelessly Shilled for Hillary Clinton Instead of Moderating
Holt lived up to the expectations of his peers. But he lived down to the worst expectations of conservatives, who routinely see Republican candidates treated unfairly by debate moderators.
Again and again, Holt asked Trump tough questions that were straight from the Clinton campaign’s talking points, and which were obvious set-ups for Clinton to attack (and for fact-checkers to pounce on whatever Trump asserted in his own defense).
Here are the five worst examples.
Tax returns. Holt never asked Clinton about her e-mail scandal, about Benghazi, or about the Clinton Foundation and its dubious dealings. But he did ask Trump about his tax returns, arguing — not asking — that there might be questionable information in them that the American public deserved to hear.
Birther conspiracy theory. Holt never asked Clinton about her past record of racist statements, including her “super-predator” remarks as First Lady, or her explicit appeal to “white Americans” in her 2008 primary campaign against Obama. Yet he asked Trump about the Birther conspiracy theory and cast it as racist.
Stop-and-frisk. After an exchange between the candidates over the policy of “stop-and-frisk,” Holt interjected to bolster Clinton’s point by stating, erroneously, that stop-and-frisk had ended in New York because it had been declared unconstitutional by a court. Trump countered, correctly, that the new mayor had canceled the policy before the litigation was over.
“A presidential look.” Towards the end of the debate, Holt asked Trump about what he meant by saying Hillary Clinton did not have “a presidential look.” He did so after noting that Clinton had become “the first woman” to be nominated for president by a major political party, thus setting Trump up as a sexist. As Trump answered, Holt interrupted him, then gave Clinton a chance to respond with her talking points about Trump’s past comments on women.
Iraq War. The question of whether Trump supported the Iraq War or not has been widely debated. What is beyond doubt is that Hillary Clinton voted for it. Holt only represented one side of the debate about Trump, and never asked Clinton about her own vote.
In addition, the audience repeatedly interjected — almost always in Clinton’s favor — and Holt did not stop them, though it was against the rules. He only stopped the audience when there were cheers for Trump calling for Clinton’s emails.
Bow again, Lester Holt. You did your job.

Bring up the Foundation, pay for play, ask who she thinks saw her emails that werent protected. Why only 21% of her foundation goes to charity. Why she pays her women employees less than their counterparts? Wjy she defends BLM when they say….”what do we want, dead cops” & “pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon”? Rioting, burning city neighborhoods, destroying their own neighborhoods, etc. Ehy these inner city neighborhoods are poor, dangerous & withoutt school choice, while under 50+ yrs of democrat control? Mary, First off, I will likely vote for Trump and I have a college degree. Second, you would benefit from a semester at a local college yourself. Your grammar is terrible. When commenting on the intelligence of others, first spend some time carefully crafting your sentences so that they contain nowns and verbs and are properly punctuated. I see too many like you boasting of your intelligence with improper English. If you’re going to stake a stand, do it in a subject you can own. English is not your game.

I also watched the same debt. I also timed their responces. Holt let hillsry answer almost every question first. Tgen told her she had 2 min. Lol she went on and on for no less than 3 1/2 min every time and for 5 min once. he never shut her down. Then would go to move on and trump would ask can I respond. He was told yes but please hurry! You might be a bit touched yourself to support the likes of Hillary Clinton. Electing her into the White House would only encourage politicians to continue to run this country in a manner that taxes the public to create millionaires out of public service officials that rig elections and say whatever they need to get elected. They currently sit in their offices without consequence ,or fear for not delivering, or performing the duties they pledged an oath to perform. They have no reason to behave differently when they are constantly rewarded for it. It’s the same reason Democrats will never do anything to help the black community because they have had a 95% voter success rate from black communities promising them the world and giving them nothing but poor education and handouts to keep them dependents of the state. Trump may not be the best choice, but at least electing him sends a message that the people are fed up and we are beginning to clean Washington of the life long career politicians who waste our time and money on dysfunctional programs and policies instead of working together to find solutions to our problems. How long have we been saying social security is a problem yet they keep kicking the can down the road rather than fix a damn thing. I was disappointed with Trump’s performance last night, but I have been disgusted with Clinton’s action for over 20 years. I am far more concerned with the things she has done than the stupid things he says. I DON’T LIKE HER! I DON’T TRUST! I DON’T BELIEVE SHE IS FFIT TO BE OUR PRESIDENT!

That was a liberal rigged three way debate. Hillary looked like a plastic programmed robot in her red pantsuit with her fake smile plastered ear to ear. Holt did not ask her one question regarding any of her investigations or scandals. Not one. But listen up! The American people, White, Black, Hispanic, everyone is aware of what is going on with the liberal corrupt establishment, Hillary’s Mafia, Obama’s disgust of our country and mostly the far left sided lying press. They think we are all stupid, don’t know the facts and don’t do our homework. Well I tired of worrying about not only my family, but all families doing day to day things that could get them killed for no reason. As Trump says ” We don’t need new laws, let’s just enforce the ones we already have”. There is a movement going on in this country to take back our America. It’s bigger than I’ve seen in my 73 yrs. That’s why she had that plastered fake smile all the time. She knew she had the debate ‘moderater’ in her pocket like everything else in her political career. What I don’t understand is why Trump held back after Hillary’s smearing him as a sexist. Even though that showed great restraint which is greater temperance than I could say about Hillary during the debate most of the audience won’t see that. He should have just flattened her.
I believe Trump held back for practical reasons….some of Hillary’s scandalous behavior will be highlighted in the next debate but let her have it with both barrels on the last debate, the one that will be on peoples minds come election day. Damn shame Trump had to battle 2 fronts in the first debate, Hillary and moderator…..hopefully Fox moderator will be fairer with questions.

I lost a lot of respect for Lester Holt. I also think he was in some way threatened by the hillary crew. The way the debate was handled last night has made me so cynical towards the media. Donald, stay on point and crush her. You have plenty of ammunition to throw at her.
