FINAL INSULT : Obama Quietly Banned Ammunition Before Leaving Office
The good news is President Trump will be able to overturn this “final insult” immediately.
Like so many of his other anti-American actions, Obama apparently wanted to make sure his legacy would include a final defiant move against the 2nd Amendment.

In its final attack on gun owners, the Obama administration moved to ban traditional lead ammo on federal grounds and waterways on its last full day in office.
The ban, which includes cheap bullets and common fishing tackle, can be repealed by the Trump administration and was immediately condemned as an attack on outdoors people and rural life.
“This directive is irresponsible and driven not out of sound science but unchecked politics,” said Lawrence Keane, senior vice president and general counsel of the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
“The timing alone is suspect. This directive was published without dialogue with industry, sportsmen and conservationists. The next director should immediately rescind this, and instead create policy based upon scientific evidence of population impacts with regard to the use of traditional ammunition.”
The National Rifle Association’s lobby shop predicted that the ban will be “short lived.”
In a statement, it said, “Like so much of what Barack Obama claimed as ‘accomplishments,’ it will hopefully amount to little more than a symbolic act of defiance by a president with little of substance to show for his eight years in office.”

Ok for one, it’s obvious this ban was to keep lead out of the water, look I’m a conservative and I can easily see why they did that. The bill doesn’t ban the sale of ammo, but where you can possess ammo. Do you really want the chance to get lead poisoning by shooting into a small pond that could affect the environment? Just shoot somewhere else, big damn deal. This wasn’t to attack firearms, but attack lead and the common health problems associated with lead being exposed to the body. You don’t want to ingest something contaminated with it, because that’ll poison you and lead to really bad health problems down the road.

The overt problem with this argument, is that lead in gasoline contributes to roughly 10 trillion times more lead to the environment that if every hunter in America walked into their back yards and fired lead ammunition ceaselessly for 2 hours each day 365 days a year. The amount of lead used on Federal Lands is even less. This was a political move and a parting “shot” against gun owners and the 2nd amendment to the constitution. It was also a “shot” against poorer Americans who will not be able to afford as much ammunition if upgraded to stainless steel–about the only commercially feasible alternative to lead, and which contains amounts of chromium which has its own set of problems. Bend over, grab yourself firmly by the neck and rock your head back and forth until it dislodges from your backside. Barak Obama is the same idealist on the last day of office that he was on the first day of office, thinking that whatever his opinion or belief was, was somehow more superior to that of thinking Americans–highly insulting to most thinking Americans, I can assure you. But his way or the highway was his approach, even if he had to sneak around and sign such a protest on his final hours in office. And, by the grace of God, his successor will be able to undo it just as easily.

This is about gun rights. Why would I shot into the water????? Its like dominos, you start with one little thing, then another, then another…. With each new thing now being a “just”, ” just cheap ammo”, “just cheap fishing equipment”… Please tell me, one country that is as great as ours, that has all the freedoms we do, that so many people want to come to.
