Fast Facts – What You Need to Know About Trump’s VP, Mike Pence
Governor Mike Pence of Indiana is a mysterious political figure to many people.
He’s not one of those “flashy” political figures who’s always hamming it up on camera.
Cough, Paul Ryan, cough.
In order to help familiarize people with Trump’s VP, we’ve comprised a list of key facts on Mr. Pence.
Enjoy getting to know the next Vice President of the United States.

Stable and Successful- Governor of Indiana, Pence graduated from Hanover College (Indiana), B.A., 1981; Indiana University School of Law, J.D., 1986. However, a year prior, he married Karen Pence (1985-present).
Faith First before Politics- Pence once hosted a talk radio show, the Mike Pence Show. The show ran from 1992 until 1999, syndicated on 18 stations in Indiana, where he would discuss his faith and his values. During the 2010 Value Voter Summit, Pence took the stage and said, “I’m a Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order.”
- Was among first Republicans to embrace the Tea Party
- Has supported increased border security and stricter enforcement of laws prohibiting illegal immigrants from working in the United States
- Has called for increases in military spending
- Has an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association, tweeted that he “will always be a strong proponent of the Second Amendment”
- Repealed Indiana’s inheritance tax and lowered taxes on corporate income and business property
- Supports school choice and locally-set learning standards
